Ah, ignore me then. When you mentioned Marston's I assumed you meant Tony's chippy in Deighton, Huddersfield.
Nay lad, Do people actually stop their car in Deighton?!!!!!!

It's been quite some time i was there, so it may have been gentrified. Which seems unlikely as the only improvement to that area would be a mushroom cloud.

A trip to pen-clawdd was in order today for battered cockles and chips

What are they like when fried? Squid? Mussels? Prawns?

Appreciate I'm only guessing what a fadgie is, but why would she have more than one?

I’m not sure there’s any place for that here and I’m not sure if it’s because dirty cockles or just because.

I'm a keen disciple of theirs. Made about 6 of their recipes, using the same brands they use, and I'm really chuffed with the results.

My chicken and green pepper in black bean sauce is now properly proper, if I do say so myself.

The Lucky Boat No.1 noodles they always insist you should use are night-and-day better than anything you'll find in a normal supermarket. Well worth seeking out.

The single best thing I've learned from them is how to use potato starch (not corn starch) to thicken a Chinese sauce at the end. It's made a huge difference to the quality of the final result and wasn't something I was going to manage left to my own devices.

Any recommendations in Hove? I am on a flying visit there tonight to pick up some E39 headlamps and it would seem an opportune moment for dinner before heading back home.

Yes, that's my thinking too. I'll ask the vendor, local knowledge and all that

Nothing quite like eating fish and chips with the sea air in your nostrils - making me feel hungry
