Gotcha. Looks like 2 chicken shish skewers tbf that’s perfect for a girl. Just add lamb shish and doner next time to avoid confusion. Abduls a little further down in Wilmslow rd is also always a winner.
In my defence I wanted a mix grill but the card machine was broken and I couldn’t be arsed walking half a mile up the road for a free to use cash machine. Had a tenner in my pocket and the bill came to £9.97

Ah the old "card machine is broken" ruse to boost a cash business wink

Aye, age old classic. I work for a company that builds ordering platforms for takeaways and restaurants. Seen plenty of tricks from places over the years!

I've just found out about what looks like a very dirty takeaway in the Denver area called Fat Shack. Their specialties seems to be sandwiches with multiple high-calorie fillings and deep fried desserts.

Here's the menu.

I'm down in Denver this week so will make an effort to get to one of their locations. I'm thinking a Fat Cow sandwich followed by deep fried rice krispie treats.

They look tasty. Portions look a bit smaller than I’d expect over there.

I think the sandwiches are around 2,000 calories each. The dessert is what interests me the most but I feel that I need to eat the sandwich first to justify it!

Takeaway carves up the elephant leg and then fries it off in a pan with chilli sauce and sometimes chucks in some chillies. At least that’s how I’ve seen it being done

yup. thats how some of my locals do it. back onto a flat top griddle with onions and sauce. naga sauce if you want it painfully hot, or lemon if you don't.

Yeah I’ve seen it literally done in a wok....
Onions, peppers, mushrooms, chilli, garlic, doner meat all fried together and then pour in the sauce and coat it before serving

I got this from a place called Bonani Bites in Manchester city centre. Always seem to have discounts on Just Eat.

Their own description:

Donner Stir Fry

Donner meat stir fried in our special sauce with jalepenos, peppers, onions & topped with cheese. The donner stir fry is loaded on top of a large portion of crispy cut fries.

Very decent takeaway. Home made chips too.

This would seal it for me. Having spent lots of time in South Africa where granted labour is cheap being used to hand cut proper chips in just about everywhere bar KFC and McDonalds it annoys me in the U.K. that frozen fries and oven chips are everywhere
