Now I’m gonna drink this piss ,an old guy whose gas I put back on asked me to take them as he don’t drink ,now I got 6 of of them ,I reckon all of them on the head in half hour I may have an effect,

Yep, sesame prawn toast, chicken satay, spring rolls and Chinese bbq ribs followed by special mixed chow mein and chicken in black bean sauce. I’m 6’4” and fairly active and I still only managed about half of it, some of you guys have mad appetites!!

'shotgun' the beer. (look it up).

basically invoves

holding the can sideways.
stab the bottom of the can with a screw driver
place the opening to your mouth
'open' the can at the top. cos the drink has no vaccum at the top it will flow into your mouth FAST. open up your throat and you'll down the can in seconds. (if you are good).

Used to do it (when young) with straws in bottles,fold short bit of straw over bottles neck,put mouth round bottle tilt up and suck straw lets in air fluid pisses out down neck ,did try making long straws for bottles of wine ,necking bottles of blue nun ,ooh the good old days

Used to do 3 bottles of Reef in one go as it was 3 for a fiver (I think) at a pub I started drinking at in 2003 when I turned 18 and didn't have to stick to local pubs as I was finally old enough!

Eski, unbelievably, my missus thought she'd picked up 18 cans of Carlsberg Export for £11 in Lidl for me (the cans are this colour in Sweden for Export), so I am lumbered with Carlsberg Sparkling Water for the foreseeable!!!!

Standard good quality fare, £7-8

That's more than I remember - Rusholme Chippy double Kobeda is only £5.75 (arguably the best kebab in Manchester - or further afield?). A mixed shawarma from Jaffa (really tasty lamb and chicken with nice bread, salad and sauces) is only £4.50. Both do good portions.

Whereas down here it feels like you're paying at least £8 for something a bit rubbish.

Reef! That brings back memories! I can remember downing bottle after bottle using the straw technique in an Aussie pub in Shepherds Bush about 20 years ago.

I got thrown out in the end because I got on the stage and tried to take the mic off the singer of the band they had on that evening as I thought I’d do a better job!
