Anyone know what the seasoning stuff is that Bab shops put on their chips, and where to buy it?!

What’s the general consensus folks, are we still ordering takeaways as normal or are we cutting back in light of the impending apocalypse?

Seems everyone is offering no contact deliveries when you pay by card
My first post on this thread as a long-time lurker and occasionally horrified admirer of Eski's work. It's frankly our moral duty to support local businesses in these amazing times. From my self-isolated position I'll be throwing some money Chutney Massalla's way come Friday.
Use them or lose them!
As someone close to the hospitality industry, I couldn't agree more.

Find out which of your local places are open, and spend what you can with them. If you want to see them again when we get out the other side of this slump, they'll need every penny.

I ordered a pizza from our wonderful little local Italian restaurant last night, and it came with a thank you note in the bag.

American chip seasoning, some takeaways and supermarkets sell it but in the spirit of the current situation you can make your own: https://www.familyfreshmeals.com/2013/06/best-burg...

Glad to hear, as someone whose bread and butter is inextricably linked with small independent takeaways (we provide ordering platforms for takeaways and restaurants) I hope more people do the same.

Paul's Breakfast Trailer looked forlorn. I ordered the breakfast bap for £4 (two eggs, two bacon, two bangers)

For 2 eggs, 2 bacon and 2 sausages? I'd say that was about right. Maybe even on the cheap side.

Sounds like a fair deal to me. I might pop over to Wickes tomorrow and get a egg and bacon burger from the van there, he takes contactless card payments smile

Sorry gents I’m a northerner and as such most things seem expensive.

A full English with coffee is only circa £6.50.

It doesn’t seem too expensive with respect to the fillings, but still it’s £4 for a bap!

Add up the cost of 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 rashers of bacon, a bap, any spread or sauce, all the running costs (fuel, insurance, time to buy products etc) and finally if you're feeling generous a wage, then you will figure out if £4 is expensive.

Will drop you a reply over the next few days.

Chicken donner on garlic naan with proper chips tonight. We decided to end our usual collection takeaway runs with an old favourite which I sent a family member to go get since I’m stuck indoors. Doily game is still strong.

My local Tesco had bottles in the 2 for £20 offer at 6am but I passed on them as I prefer cans, starting to kick myself now! Going out again to buy as much lager as possible now and then having a piss up and kebab tonight with my missus laugh
