I know this thread does a great job of not mentioning whats going on but..

bummer. As of tomorrow (7pm at latest) McDs are completely closing down. I wonder if anywhere else is following suit.

Looks like i'm going to start making my own big macs/tastys. (to be honest i make nicer burgers that are cheaper anyway).

Confirmed by The Mirror paper, i didn't believe it at first when i was sent a screenshot.

Gonna be sad and have McDonald's for my break tomorrow.

Not that I need a reason to have McDonald's often laugh

nor i. I did notice earlier that Aldi sell buruger shaped breakfast sausage... could be something to make morning McDs sausage & egg mcmuffins.

Aldi and Tesco both do the patties and they're pretty good.

If Macs are shutting up completely I can only imagine they must have been nudged to do it frown

litigation worries. most ordering done through touchscreens now too, so madness given the situation.

The government wants no one outside, youngsters have been meeting in there carparks for decades, close them up. The government really is trying not to put the foot down but wouldn't suprise me if all DTs are closed next week.

I guess with McD it’s more a financial case, given how busy they are I imagine the majority of the orders are from people eating in. They switched to drive thru only a few days ago but even that won’t be enough to cover the overheads.

I seriously hope the regular indie takeaways remain open, otherwise panic buying will just get worse

They weren't drive through only, you could still go in and order to take away, and they had the delivery service.
