They weren't drive through only, you could still go in and order to take away, and they had the delivery service.
“Previously, the fast food giant had closed its seating areas but had continued to offer takeaway and drive-through services.”That’s what I’ve read on several articles. Maybe it was only the franchises that kept the seated areas open? Granted I’ve not left the house for several days

All restaurants closed their internal and external dining areas last week but allowed customers to still order from within the restaurant. That’s what I’ve read on several articles. Maybe it was only the franchises that kept the seated areas open? Granted I’ve not left the house for several days
A decision was made yesterday to fully close as a responsibility to both staff and customer safety. It’s nothing to do with litigation or overheads but trying to lead the way as a responsible brand.

the government really want everything to stop. Sad times for DT. Other to follow soon I bet.
Not sure what merited a cheap dig at "the government". Edited by Thesprucegoose on Sunday 22 March 21:00
They've been pretty transparent in offering small restaurants/cafes a way to stay open, given their importance in getting food into mouths.

They represent a far bigger threat to public/staff health than a small indie restaurant doing a handful of deliveries/takeaways.

Aldi and Tesco both do the patties and they're pretty good.
If Macs are shutting up completely I can only imagine they must have been nudged to do it
IMO the Aldi ones are nicer seasoned, and near half the price. They go lovely with one of our home hatched eggs If Macs are shutting up completely I can only imagine they must have been nudged to do it

I guess with McD it’s more a financial case, given how busy they are I imagine the majority of the orders are from people eating in. They switched to drive thru only a few days ago but even that won’t be enough to cover the overheads.
I seriously hope the regular indie takeaways remain open, otherwise panic buying will just get worse
Yes, it's the best of a bad situation - cut costs, present as done to protect customer and staff, pre-empts Govt closure, image protected. I seriously hope the regular indie takeaways remain open, otherwise panic buying will just get worse
That is immense,^^^^^^^^. Wife is afternoons ,perhaps I’ll preserve the food supplies and order a mixed grill ,fking PH I’ll tell thee ,got a lot to answer for
