I’ve not opened the Jura yet. Was a Xmas gift from a couple years ago. Laphroaig is amazing though. Mmmmmmmmmmm

Not as impressive as some of you guys. But here’s my collection so far.

I'd have the Kilkerran and BenRiach out of that lot...

The Benriachs that I won at auction turned up (the three on the right). Will they be as good as the Virgin Oak? I doubt it, but you never know!

Of that lot.... second from the left is the winner.
Back in the day I had all the 12yo series of finishes - with the weird latin looking names - loved them. I would happily love to try any of the new ones - or the whole lot. Not had a Benriach for years.

Are we allowed to help ourselves? hehe

Had the new-ish Glenfiddich Reserve Cask tonight - not the biggest fan. Typical lighter flavours from the more mass market 'fiddich, but with a bitter end that doesn't work well - for me at least.

The Kilkerran is very nice. I don't remember much about the BenRiach but I was a few glasses down on other stuff by the time I opened it. The Mack is quite nice. My mate has had a few glasses before and seemed to be equally impressed.

But you're missing the best one.
The clynelish? Yeah it's on back order until June

Being honest I kind of agree on the marketing comment, but guess it's common all round now.

Whiskey tasting event by The Creative Whiskey Co tonight smile Mate's shop has secured the last of all their stock with a masterclass from David Stirk.

It's good to know there's more to come. I was disappointed that I'd opened my bottle after seeing how much it was going for at auction. It's reasonable at about £50 but certainly not worth £100+

well at auction you need to be making more than £50 profit in order to make it worth it. £50 will be munched up in fees and shipping.

If it's the 10yo Curitositiiiiiiiias (bad spelling!) it's a nice sweet peat easy drinking dram. Had some at a whisky festival in Poland a few weekends ago.

Wooo! party

If you are by the office it can be much less as it were - SWA is £5 a bottle, and I pick most of my bottles up in person, so drop off others at the same time. Or if you sell over ~£1000 worth they pick it up for free.

It's the big whisky weekend where I am - warm up event tonight, and the whisky festival tomorrow. For the warm up we'll be tasting:

Arran 21 yo single bourbon cask - Norwegian release SC
Aberlour a'bunadh - not sure which batch
Glenfiddich IPA - tasted quite a few times before!
Eiktyrne Tyn og Vin Brandy Finish
Eiktyrne Toll og Holl Sauternes Finish

Last two are a new distillery here in Norway.

That’s the one. I might have a glass tonight with a clear head and report back.

After a little browsing in Waitrose decided to pick this up for St Patrick’s Day. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Not really paid attention about what the normal price is, but picked up a bottle of this in Sainsbury's today for £25.

Absolutely crazy price rises. Who do they think is going to spend £500 on the 25 yo? I've purchased another 1991 and 2000 for drinking but I'm wondering if another couple of the 1991 are worth it to sit on for a few months.
