Sweet fruit pudding knits together seamlessly with cedar wood and aromatic cigars. Oak tannins and rich truffles break away to reveal a subtle note of smoky jam tart.
With a splash of water, intense aromas of bitter cherry and a curiously zesty note emerges. Characteristically, this dram then travels in a different direction with perfumed violet notes.
A velvety mouthfeel leads into contrasting flavours. Aniseed, soot and summer fruits give way to crumbly pastry, dark chocolate, coffee and almonds. Following on is a long, lingering and sooty finish, perfect for toasting our legendary Committee.

weirdly i didn't get the committee email notifying me in advance... bit st considering i've given Ardbeg some £££ over the years!
Did consider the blaaack actually as the last few specials haven't really interested me much whereas this one sounds better, but don't think i will buy one this time after all.

Yea, I thought this one sounded quite interesting. Though I was in half a mind to flip depending on market prices, but still quite gutted to have missed out.Did consider the blaaack actually as the last few specials haven't really interested me much whereas this one sounds better, but don't think i will buy one this time after all.

Love a Kilchoman. Even the basic Machir Bay seems to manage being peaty without being overly heavy.Picked up a bottle of the Game of thrones Lagavulin 9yr old for £36.99 on Amazon during the week, I'll definitely be drinking it, I think a few people got caught up in the whole Limited Edition thing.
