I hear what you are saying, but making it a challenge that some are not up too is a bit, well, wrong....
Not at all - if it was something everyone could drink it would be a simple malt or blend which to many of us would be a bit boring to be honest! As long as we have the choice then it's great - Ardbeg for those of us who want to get our heads blown off and have to sleep in a separate room that night, Tamdhu or similar for the softies, HarryW said:

Nothing rare or expensive in my collection it does cover pretty much every type though; Highland, Lowland, Speyside, Island and Islay.
No CampbeltownHere's where to correct the deficit

CF is for the american market because for some reason they love to put ice in whisky. The ice makes non-CF whisky go cloudy, but CF removes fats and taste. Many whiskies are marketed specifically as non-CF. I've never seen one that cites CF as a benefit. Still as you say, if it's nice then cool!
I managed to go to the Stavanger whisky club's monthly meeting this week as I am here with work. The theme was 4 of Adelphi's Liddesdale (Bunnahabhain) 21yo's. These are sherry casks and we tried batch 4, 5, 6 and 9. The overall vote was that batch 4 was best.
After that I had these 3. The Arran was a Norway only release (Bourbon cask).

I'm very low on Dalmore King Alexander III, and have been watching prices since it appears to have jumped to £140 this year. Dropped to £119 on Amazon today (seller 31Dover, who I've used before) in case anybody else is tempted.
Is it a big jump from the 15? After something nice for xmas day.Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
