Not a surprise I doubt he had much say over the quality of the food. He was mad to put his name against it IMHO. The quality was just very poor. Probably £££ driven but there is a limit.

We enjoy going to Bem Brasil on Lever Street in the Northern quarter, not fine dining as such but something different.

We find Fazenda is much better, have you tried?

Yep I’d say Fazenda is a lot better than Bem Brazil.

Fazenda preferrred here, but just to note I prefer the Bem Brasil on King Street West to the one on Lever Street.

But they're not fine dining.
I've not had fine dining in Manchester tbh so sorry to be of no help.

You’d be better off going for the far larger “somewhere that isn’t fine dining but you’ll still have a great meal and be glad you went” category. Manchester has lots of those. Randall and aubin maybe?

Went to Fazenda mid-week, after visiting a few deserted bars. We soon realised why they were so quiet - everyone was in Fazenda!

Went with a bunch (8) colleagues and have to do the same sort of thing in 3 months - any suggestions for somewhere (any cuisine) that's a similar kind of 'event'?

We went to Tattu a few weeks ago. Lovely setting and decent food.

I had a great meal in Rosso in the past couple of weeks, was genuinely surprised much better than the last visit I had been and a good atmosphere.
