If convenience ever trumps quality to the extent that one is considering a McD's, then one should have a serious word with one's self about one's life choices.
I'd say that's a bit strong. There's a place for McDs on the food spectrum, for sure. I don't personally eat it often, but I can see why some people would.

What I cannot get my head around is making the decision to pay rock-bottom prices for McDs, and then complaining about the quality of the product, the service or the content of the menu. By going rock-bottom, you forgo all of those things. That's how it works.
Exactly. I mean that looks like a single cheeseburger with added bacon so thats probably £1.39
I believe it was meant to be one of these:

So two quid odd, looks like you know the pricing far better than I ever will, but it's tiny!
Scale it up to a normal size burger and it is no longer cheap, yet it's still st. wobble

It used to be below pet grade years ago, that's why they had a major revamp but people still go there.

Yes of course it was! jesus the food snobs are out in force today. I would rather eat a McDonalds burger than something from a burger van or a kebab shop to be fair.

Getting the above picture I noticed that they season the burgers after they are cooked which would explain why they taste salty and underseasoned at the same time.
I'd previously put it down to witchcraft.

Why do they call it a bun, when it's a roll?

Agreed, I tried one when they first came out and was suitably impressed. Unfortunately not enough people agreed with us.

I guess just not what regular McD customers wanted.

And let's all remember why McDs can afford to sell you a burger for £1.50.

While they meet the minimum animal welfare standards (as a box-ticking PR exercise), the conditions where they raise their animals are inhumane for anyone with a conscience. https://truthaboutmcdonaldschicken.com/

I really would like the McRib to come to the UK.

In Sweden they do a McFeast, Big Bacon Clubhouse and the McSelection Chipotle beef which are all nice. They also had the triple, cheeseburger way before it came to the uk, which used to be my go-to when landing in Gothenburg, always straight to the drive thru to tide me over til I got home!

You're possibly demonstrating that PH trait of being a food snob and not knowing much about decent food? See also the majority who post about "my butcher" etc. McDonalds ingredients and preparation standards are far higher than the majority of kebab shops and burger vans. I'm no fan of the Golden Arches either.

Sometime back a food snob actually posted a picture of the magnificent burger "my butcher" had produced and cooked. Burnt on the outside, raw on the inside and grated cheese. What on earth?

Why do they call it a bun, when it's a roll?
Because it is not a roll, it is a bun. Burger buns, even the most basic such as this differ from a standard bread roll (inserts localism here if roll is not your word) in that they are sweetened, some only slightly and some moreso, so you will find burger bun recipes contain sugar and bread rolls dont. Of course you can google foo and find a bread roll recipe that does and a burger bun recipe that doesnt but in the baking world that is the general difference and why you serve burgers on buns.
