Trying to bring the thread back on track - is anyone else on here a fan of Bleeker?
Their double bacon cheeseburger - cooked "medium" is a thing of awesome tastiness - just fabulous. Everything a burger should be.
There's one in Westfield Shepherds Bush, and there's one near Bank. I think there are several others, but not sure where.
I think it's my favourite "mainstream" burger - only beaten when you get into places like Hawksmoor, Cut etc.
I had a really bad bleeker when they first opened that I could probably have restarted back to life. Haven’t been back since. Maybe I should give it another try Their double bacon cheeseburger - cooked "medium" is a thing of awesome tastiness - just fabulous. Everything a burger should be.

I still remember having a burger at an open day at Upper Heyford American airbase, when I was a kid and I am sure it was the best burger I have ever had...
They had half oil drum BBQ's going all over the place.
No idea if it's just the rose tinted effect or if the American burgers really were a breed apart from anything we get here in the UK...
Bretts in Reading was awesome though, again long gone now.
These days £20 seems to get you a microscopic burger (more like a slider), piled high so it looks big!
Tried a renowned burger restuarant in Weymouth and found that the burger was full of grated carrot.... WTF?

RIAT at RAF Fairford tucked away in the car park field is usually a stall operated by the USAF staff worth a visit to see if it was? They had half oil drum BBQ's going all over the place.

Anyone had a burger at Blacklock? I’ve eaten there and it seemed good value for central London - the meat (tried a steak and skinny chops) was good quality and cooked well so wondered if the burger might be decent too? Burger is £12 and beef dripping chips £4.
I can't go to blacklock and not either eat a huge piece of beef or the 'all in' chops. Feels like sacrilege.C70R said:

In the 90s we lived on the military families bit of Heyford so if it was then that you tried the burger there is a genuine chance that my dad was the cook!
