Is this a fair assumption?:

Business starts up, has success and people like it. It then explqnds massively and to part fund these costs it simplifies, downsizes some portions etc and the focal point of actually going there suffers; the food. Then people start coming less. Prices are put up (or the prices are part of the reason for people not visiting anymore.

Then administration.

A vast generalisation?

I was gobsmacked when I saw Dominos prices here in the UK... You want £17... for a Dominos...
I've never understood it. No wonder that most Domino franchise owners are millionaires. Pizza in other parts of the world is cheap and cheerful.
I never got the Domino hype. Recently I decided to try it, I got the obligatory discount code. Ordered and was surprised what turned up. I felt it was way overpriced even discounted. Plus the two I ordered were really oily.

First and last time.

Reminded me of Nandos. Really poor, thin chicken. It was all about the sauces offered I thought, their USP- true?

Nandos was 10yrs ago has it changed?

I'm in Pax burgers. Biggish burger and fries for £12 with pulled pork ontop.

Will report back. I've not been here for a longtime so can't remember what it's like.

We had a five guys burger/fries delivery last night. £10! for a tiny double burger a la Burger King 1990s special. Wtf.

We're getting to the (pleasant) point where it's now difficult to pick which of the decent burger places to go to in Leeds now but I've opted for Meat Liquor the last few times and been really happy.

This is the £11.50 "Bacon Cheese" and while I prefer their "Green Chilli Cheese" it made a nice change.

Green Chilli...

Bread Meat Bread in Edinburgh was really good too, I had their "Posh BMB" which had smoked mozzarella, mushroom, bacon, onion and truffle mayo, £12, service was top notch and everything the group had was really good.

I also had a McDonald's double cheeseburger recently, that was a predictably acceptable snack but lacking in presentation.
