hehe

And yikes at that price hike. Think I did ok on price. Still making great coffee and love the thing. I am drinking absolutely massive amounts of coffee though laugh I suppose that was the point...

Have your initial thoughts worn off yet?

We're looking at replacing an old Gaggia with a bean to cup machine and budget is £300(ish)

And now £549! The pricing on these machines is all over the place. I can see why it drove you mad banghead
Now £599. irked Looking to spend around £300 and getting mightily confused by all these Delonghi variants!

What a con - I have a Delonghi ECAM 23.320 which looks different but has the same screen. As mentioned, a lot of the delonghi models are the same, you're just paying for the styling.

Thanks to a thread on here I bought my Bean to Cup machine over 3 years ago and it's still going strong.

It's a DeLonghi Caffé Corso. Prices were all over the place back then as well. It varied between £399 and £205. Got it for the lowest price. No fancy screen and the steamer is a bit rubbish but it makes a nice cup of coffee.

Bloody noisy though, which I'm sure my neighbours love when I have my 4.30am hit before work on Sunday morning.

Well, after a budget re-think we ended up with a Sage machine. Also after spending some like looking at them in store it's also a better 'footprint' for the available space in our kitchen.

This one:

Think that's the same as the one I have, deliberated between new (on offer) from Currys or a recon one off of eBay for £50 less than the offer price.

Went with the recon & that was 2 or 3 years ago, had my moneys worth already & it's still going strong. Milk steamer is not the best though, lucky I mainly drink espresso hehe

Mine is actually the ECAM22.320.S, very good reviews online when I bought it, paid £255 just over 2yrs ago.

Who has the oldest B2C machine? I'll kick off with a 12 yo Siemens Surpresso S20 (Jura in plain clothes in those days, I believe), still going strong smile

I’ve had this one for about 4 years now.. every (nearly!) cup is delicious. Visited
Crete two weeks ago and bought a kilo of beans from one of the shops there and it’s probably one of the most consistent and stunning espresso I’ve ever had, just gone online to get another 10 bags hopefully it’s the same....

Well, 9 months and about 800 cups of coffee later according to the display, I am still very happy. I'm not a coffee expert but I like a nice flat white and I can make quick and consistent cups with this. Happy with the machine, best of the bunch at the time and at a good price. Can't believe they are £650 now...

If only it was a proper B2C, I mean, having to tamp and move the brew head across. Hard labour! wink

Yup - that's the one.

Don't know - it hasn't arrived yet. JLP were doing a price match so got it from them.

Well, it's now here and as we bought from JLP the temp jug came included.

Interested on the de-scaling comment as the filter appears to be lifted at 3 months - they also included a cleaning kit.

The process of adjusting the grind, volume etc, to suit our coffee taste has started. First thoughts are that it's a well made, solid piece of kit.
