Not sure if already mentioned but anything kirkland which is costco own brand , company policy is that” kirkland products should be equal or better than the best in brand” .personal tastes will however vary .
On the whole I'd go along with that, but I find their coffee beans to be over-roasted and quite bitter compared to Lavazza or Illybimsb6 said:

I concur. Kirkland meat is generally good quality I've found and you can watch the butchers preparing it in-store too.feef said:

Branston Beans is where it's at.
Don't judge own brand beans until you have tried Branston Beans.
I do like Branston's but I wish they'd use ring-pull cans. Don't judge own brand beans until you have tried Branston Beans.
I am currently very into the Aldi own brand bourbon which at £11.99 a bottle is very affordable indeed... although now I end up drinking a Manhattan most evenings once work time is over and relaxation time begins.

Aldi do their version of an Old El Paso Fajita kit. It's spicier and tastier.
Yup it's better and so is the Asda one.Aldi butter (their Lurpack equivalent) is easier to spread and that's my priority since I'm crap at it.
Lidl do a Baileys equivalent and it's about 1/4 of the price. It's nicer if slightly runnier but really needs the ice, it's also lower alcohol level which might be good or bad. The Aldi one was horrible.
Most of the supermarket beans are now nicer than Heinz, similarly Tesco ketchup is better than Heinz now.
Recently discovered Aldi Sloe Gin, it's really really nice and I don't even like gin! £10 per bottle, 500ml. Far too easy to drink though.
