Not looked at Porsche GT car prices for a few months but this car looks priced well compared to others for sale.

Guessing this may of been a 145k car at list so still way over list but far more attractively priced than others, are we starting to see a slight reduction in prices as interest cools off from the none car enthusiasts who jumped onto the band wagon in 2015?

I pointed out this car a while ago for being particularly good value in comparison to its peers. It was supplied new from Cardiff and stored at the OPC for the Far East based owner and i loved it in UV. The one caveat is the lack of PCCBs which inexplicably is a 'must have' for resale in the UK and the light coloured seat inserts not to everyone's liking.
All in all however a great buy and having stuck at JZM for a while potentially open for offers at about £10k below asking price.

That's very interesting, Opc Cardiff is my preferred dealer. I'm aware of the chap who asks them to store his gt cars from time to time when he returns overseas. I have actually seen this car in the flesh. I'm sure the chap is a serial gt buyer, starnge the guys aren't selling it for him. I wonder what he changed it for.

I really like the interior colour combo. From memory it used to have a stuck on front number plate.

What were they at peak again? £225/250?

There will be a few taking a very big bath, I guess at that level though, it's all small change.

Wow... if they peaked that high it may explain why so many are for sale at the moment as buyers look to be exiting before further price drops. I wonder how many 991 gt3 rs buyers are out there at the moment?

I must say this car looks great value compared to others...I always thought JZM were always on the high side with there prices.

Broadly speaking a top 991.1 GT3 is valued comparatively to a list .2 GT3. Be interesting to see the list of the .2 RS......

Just to clarify, the UV car in question is being sold as two owners so Cardiff OPC or the original owner are no longer involved in this car.

There are OPC cars with PCCB's to be had for £15k more, plenty of cars to choose from. None of which seem to be selling...

If cars really changed hands for £275k there are some majorly burnt fingers about.

Makes sense now, I guess the second owner can’t be the chap who used to store the car at opc cardiff and this owner must have a connection with JZM.

I wonder if anyone has made a cheeky offer on it, could be a good buy if it’s sor and the owner needs out. I think we may start to see some price reductions on certain GT modules over the next 12 months.

I think the prices of the RS will drop to around 180 to 200k for a low mileage car with
Good spec in the next 2 to 3 months

I think a lot is riding on the new manual gt3, if this turns out to be an excellent car with relatively high build numbers for a GT car it could have a big impact on the 991 gen 1 GT cars.

What concerns me is the number of GT cars currently for sale, porsche keep churning these cars out but is there really that big of a market place for people to be paying over list for used cars year in year out.

I guess only time will tell.

This is the point I don't think people really think about. Despite the limited allocations of these cars they are still coming to these shores in a much larger volume than what we've seen before. I think over the next three years or so it'll really take the steam out of the GT market...which is a good thing. There were I think circa 250 991.1 RS's imported with I am assuming a similar number of upcoming 991.2 RS's....yes the market is bigger but how many 997 RS's were there ? Looking at how many left I'd guesstimate there are 150 997 RS's across both variants....so is they bring in another 250 991.2 RS's they'll have increased production of that "niche" model by 300% !

991.1 RS or 991.2 GT3 though these might get to be the same price 2nd hand !

what would you have if given a car :-), it has to be one of the 2 listed btw.

Hand on heart I think I would rather the 991.1 RS at £165k vs a 991.2 GT3 at £165k

although I would take a 997.2 RS 4.0 over anything ;-) and a 997.2 RS 3.8 at £165k also over any thing new at this price.

I think if you crave manual you crave the older cars any way, hence why I said 997.2 RS at £165k

putting a manual box In a car full of tech does not make it a drivers car imo, while you get more interaction over PDK in the 991 GT3, it still has EPS, PTV and RWS.

I don't see the point in overs on any of the new cars as the next one is always better, but the older cars are what they are now.

Agree Cheib

That's before you start considering the greater volumes of no rs GT cars which have been introduced into the U.K. since 2013.

991 gt3 gen 1 approx 320
991 gt3 gen 2. Now being built. I would imagine this will be higher than the 991 gt3 gen 1 this could end up being as high as the gt4?
981 gt4 approx 570
718 gt4 (soon to be! I would be I imagine this will also be higher than the 981 GT4)

They have also introduced the 991 T. I know this isn't a gt car but I'm sure a few people will consider building a new 991 with a road focused spec for the same money some used Gt4 are currently being advertised for.

Has anyone actually complied a list of uk build numbers for Porsche GT and GTrs cars as it would be interesting to work how how much they have ramped up production since the first Gen one 996 gt3 was introduced back 1999.

Interesting advert

http://www.evo.co.uk/porsche/911-gt3-rs/16427/firs...

I wouldn't want to be the person who paid anywhere near that asking price, that's £100k down the toilet and the market for these cars looks like it's on a downward trend at the moment!
