The Italian stack was really nice, but the plain old 99p cheeseburger was the best. I forgot how nice they were. Perfect burger in my opinion.
Yep for me its cheese burger, big mac and big tasty in that order.
I would agree. Big Tasty is great, but the Cheeseburger and the Big Mac are hard to beat.
Shame you can’t get the double big tasty in the uk

When I was recovering from Covid a couple of weeks ago, I was still feeling rubbish and hadn't eaten much for a week. I was absolutely craving a McDonalds. Went to the local Drive-Thru and purchased a large Italian Stack meal, a 99p cheeseburger, and a 3 piece Chicken Selects...

And then ate the lot in one sitting.

The Italian stack was really nice, but the plain old 99p cheeseburger was the best. I forgot how nice they were. Perfect burger in my opinion.
I'm guessing all those deals will be history now and they've had a lot recently.

A well made, fresh Big Mac is a damn good burger IMO.

I'm a big fan of the double cheeseburger, but I'm absolutely sick of the waiting times now. There's no way of telling how long you might be in the drive through queue
The other day it was nearly 30 minutes from order to receipt of 4 drinks! And no way to escape the queue

Go inside?
Local fast food joints around here always have massive drive through ques, inside is not bad at all.

This

I have never waited more than 5 minutes inside after ordering on a screen

Use drive throughs if you’re really going to take it away but why do people use drive throughs then sit in the carpark eating always thought that’s odd

Probably because with McDonalds if you attempt to drive more than 60 seconds from the restaurant then its stone cold when you eat it

One of my friends was a McDonalds manager in a former life and she said that the priority is always the drive thru queues.

I'm finding that the best McDonalds are the ones near fast roads/junctions and away from urban/suburban areas. The McDonalds in urban/suburban areas are plagued by delivery drivers. You don't realise how many virtual orders are before you. What grates me the most is the packing staff being constantly harangued and interrupted by the rude delivery drivers which has a negative effect on waiting customer orders: "Oi! How long for 5b6cggh?"

A McDonalds local to me has just had a refit with a separate collection area for these rude bds.

I've always found using the app gets a faster response especially when you park in a bay.

Just a heads-up that I signed up this morning and my 4/5 free drinks that I had, got wiped out (well, converted to just 300 points which is 30p!).

Raised it via the app and got an email with one free drink because I'm a 'valued customer'.

Harumph.

Interesting. My one free drink got converted to 1500 points which allowed me to have (amongst other things) ... one free drink.

No, scrap that, I'm an idiot. My coffees are still there and it's the spare 'stamp' that was converted to 300points.

An emotional morning.

That still begs the question why a 99p coffee needs 1500 points (£1.50) to buy it.

Totally agree, the delivery people have essentially trashed what little atmosphere these places have.

Our local has been closed for a month (!) for a full refit. I shudder to think how much that’s cost in lost revenue!

They all look like they haven't washed either themselves or their clothes, are rude, slob about, shout, put crash helmets all over tables and generally are as you say not conducive to what is essentially a family place.
