Are the prices in an 'Orlando Mega McDonalds' the same as elsewhere though?

If anywhere would be able to charge a premium, it'd be there.

Eating out in the US is always a bit of a lottery for pricing. I go some places I'd think would be fairly expensive and it's dirt cheap, and vice versa. Ruth's Chris takes the piss though, I've had better steak out there for a third the price.

I had (well my Mrs had) a double cheeseburger in Page AZ and it came to $4.10 with tax. December 2021. The next nearest McDs is in Tuba which is about 1.5 hours drive away so I guess they can charge what they want!

I didnt bother and got a jack in the box instead and a full meal with fries and drink for $7 incl tax.

I've also given up on McDonald's to sit down and eat a meal in due to the wait times when on foot, only time I use them is on Motorways now.

Totally agree, the delivery people have essentially trashed what little atmosphere these places have.
It's not just McDonald's, I've stopped eating in at my local posh Chinese as the constant stream of delivery drivers triggers a bell on the door that's clangs excessively, they also let all the heat out when it's cold outside and ruin the ambiance as half of them are shouting into their phones.

I feel slightly qualified to comment as I visit nearly every day (coffee, on my walk)

The Uber eats/whoever element has bksed the experience for anyone arriving on foot - it's absolutely mental at times, and not just weekends. Today at lunchtime was bezerk.

Suggestions that the drivers are uninsured etc though don't sit well with me either - feels a bit racisty, although TBF everything and anyone is totally invisible to them apart from their order number, but they're just trying to earn a stty living...

The fact there are locally typed & printed signs in my local McDonald's asking asking these drivers not to park in the carpark, tells you something's all a bit wrong -"Deliver our food but don't park here to pick it up".

I mean, it's a big car park too. How disrespectful is that?

It's a bonkers situation right now and I feel sorry for everyone involved.

Customer experience is the big drive for McDonalds at the moment. The purpose of the Delivery Kitchens are to remove the couriers from the restaurants while also expanding the delivery radii

McDonalds raising the price of a cheeseburger for the first time in 14 years, from 99p to £1.19.

To be fair it’s quite impressive they’ve been able to keep it the same price for so long.
Not really, and easily done. They have just increased other items more than necessary to compensate.

I had a chicken one last night and it was nice but the patty needs to be bigger of the bun smaller. I wasn’t expecting it to be spicy in the least but it was a nice combo of flavours

Why is the UK Mcdonalds so st.

Literally the same rehashed ste over and over again, I've lost count of the amount of "stacks" or "great tastes" we have had which is just literally a big mac patty with a different sauce or cheese.

When you see some of the stuff other countries get we are being taken for a ride.

I dont think I have enjoyed any of the specials I have tried, I just stick to double cheeseburgers and quarter pound cheeseburgers.

I was recently at a drivethru where I had ordered just 2 x double cheeseburgers as normal. The car in front of me had paid but as it moved forward to the collection window it didn't stop, and just drove off. I recall the excitement of grabbing the large bag of food that was thrust out of the window for me, obviously they had handed out the other cars order to me smile. I drove off quick and decided to reach into the bag for a feel, without looking inside. I could feel some fries, and some boxes, so took the burger out of the box single handed whilst I kept looking ahead out fo the windscreen. First bite and I nearly spat it out - fillet of fish frown . Did the same to the next box which this was the same frown Turned out to just being a bag of fillet of fish and fries frown

Agree. The menu in the UK is not great IMHO. I don't go much now.

Best McDonalds I ever had was in India. Really, really tasty. (But they don't use beef for obvious reasons.) I remember thinking that if they brought some of the Indian menu over here they could do really well with it. People in the UK love McDonalds and they love Indian food, so put the two together and it could be a hit...

Went into a McDonalds for the first time in ages on the way back from the F1 at Silverstone. I hated the touch-screen ordering system; the last thing I want to do before eating food (by hand) is touch a screen every other person's put their dirty fingers all over... I think I'd only try and visit one with a drive-through now based on that alone.

I'm the same. That's why I use my knob. That won't touch any of my food...

I tried that once, but found I wasn't strong enough to lift my knob to the higher options on the screen. I could only reach the lower down options so ended up with a bag of fruit and a doughnut!

Use the app, problem solved.
