Why Do PH Allow False Adverts

Why do PH allow these adverts, I’m sure you know what I mean. Dealers quoting specs and options that the manufacturer can’t even confirm yet. It just adds to a speculative nonsense market!

As far as I am aware there is no confirmation about PTS or Weissach Pack yet let alone any dates for the second batch. This sort of advertising is infuriating and just fuels a speculative market. It’s not good for the enthusiasts that want to own and drive the cars!

and more importantly and annoyingly is POA whats that all about.....why if you're selling something can you for Christs sake not put the price because that's all a buyer wants to know

POA is rubbish. However, it gets you on the phone and the dealer can persuade you to view the car and that’s a big part of the battle won.

Also means on certain cars where prices can fluctuate, the dealers are not committing themselves to a price. If a car hangs around for a while and all of a sudden a certain spec is in favour, the price changes.

As far as I’m aware there are no WP option prices as yet and only a rumour that it might follow on cars built at the year end in 2nd batch. My dealer can’t confirm anything yet so how the hell can a non franchised dealer say that this car is available ?

False or not, Haymarket will still get paid, and that's all they're bothered about!

That's simple, is it? You expect someone to read every ad and fact-check it, in this case, against the manufacturer's website, press releases, etc?
