I’m sure they will do pcp or perhaps you could remortgage?
Got this very outdoor cooker a little before Christmas. Not at this price mind, got a good deal on a new one. Not had chance to use it more than a few times since, but seriously well built (coming from a Weber fan), and I have to say, it looks very very impressive overall. Even came a pre-made custom ramp to get it off the pallet it get delivered on. Cool blue/red illumination to the controls when in use (if nothing but a talking point). They also sell a coal insert, that allows you to use it as a charcoal grill, with the benefit of being able to ignite the charcoal using the gas burners. I got one of those with it. This was pricey, but given what I have seen, I would easily consider their offerings at any price point, such is the build, finish and fit.

I’ve just bought one from Costco, so far it’s better than my previous Outback and B&Q bbqs. Early days though.

Seems to be a few reviews about the stainless steel rusting. I will see how it goes but Costco have a no quibble returns guarantee so it will go back if any problems.

Now that is lovely.
7 burner is perfect - ideal when a party is going on vs the 4’s which don’t have the capacity.

Price too looks very very reasonable.

We have an old BBQ it’s a large 4burnefr (large as in grill size) we got it very used 5 years ago and it fires up instantly but the burners are badly rusted so thinking of treading myself to an upgrade. That said we used it yesterday and it did a cracking job

How do cadac compare quality wise, basically half the price of equivalent weber
My FiL has had his knocking on 16 years (I asked), and although he's based in Durban, they're at quite an elevation - so get a tremendous amount of mist/rain and humidity. Other than a decent cover, using Johnson's baby oil on the stainless components (a must), and replacing the gas hose from the regulator to the gas rail, it keeps soldiering on. Highly recommended.

How do you find the quality? I'm in the market but I'm too cheap to drop £1500 on the size of Napoleon/Weber I would want!

apart from B&Q, where does one go to procure a bbq? I'd like to see a few decent brands in the flesh

I picked up a Broil King last spring and its been great all year, I ended up getting the cheaper Signet model rather than the more expensive Baron/Regal model I set out to buy.

I got it from the https://thebbqshop.co.uk/ They are an actual shop you can turn up and see most of the BBQ's and talk to a knowledgeable person. They were very and helpful, highly recommended.

He did comment that they stopped selling Weber's as some of the manufacturing has moved to China and he did not feel they are are solid as they use to be.

I love weber, I have a kettle and a Q, however I don't believe the new ones are the same quality - from various reviews as well as the fact that the manufacturing has now moved to China. Doesn't seem too many places stock anything except Weber and cheap no name crap. I'd love to see Napoleon, Broil King, Beefeater etc side by side

I bought a CADAC Meridian 3 burner bbq in 2015 off the back of similar recommendation thread in this forum. As mentioned it needs some periodic upkeep to ensure the outside finish looks good, but to be expected really. Now I think about it, the rubber 'grips' on the burner knobs have come off, but the actual burner elements and functional components have been without fault. Worth saying it's obviously been under a cover its whole life. Quite happy to be getting almost daily use with the current great weather we're enjoying.

Recently purchased one of these https://www.planetbarbecue.co.uk/rexon-3-burner-ga... from Planet Barbecue. Nice chaps and knowledgable (as you might have hoped!).

To update this I bought an outback solis 4 from tesco. Piss poor quality. The welds arent actually welded and therefore the fat drips out of both sides of the bbq.

Avoid.

Tesco are collecting it this week.

Any thoughts on these?

Cooked on my neighbour's one on Saturday (branded "Swiss Grill") - seemed pretty robust.

Had my 3 burner outback spectrum for 5 years. Every season I line the drip tray in kitchen foil and layer with sand. End of season, tip it into the bin.

Mess free, and thanks to an annual light sanding and teak oiling of the wood, good as new.
