Aldi Kamado Oven
Discussion
Mine's arriving today via AO-I presume asking them to carry it up some stairs is a complete no-no?! I'll be out unfortunately.
One thing I was wondering for all those who've used them for some time-do these make your trad BBQs redundant?
I've got my treasured Weber Master's Touch with all the accessories, is it basically going to be left for party duties now? To be honest, with the BBQ, now the Kamado and the Uuni it's going to start looking a bit cluttered. The Uuni sits on a stainless catering table so I could perhaps cut a circular hole in it for one or the other but that would take up table top space. Might need a re-think if I'm to keep all three.

Since I got a Kamado the main thing that gets used on my Weber is the side table. I think I‘ve used it for cooking on twice in the 3 years I‘ve had a Kamado. I do use it though to stand a chimney of hot coals on when I‘m doing a reverse sear and want to add some quick extra heat for the sear.
Well mine arrived about 10 minutes before I got back home but fortunately my neighbours who I would need to help lift the unit were in and the AO delivery guy was very helpful. Now curing it, though took me several attempts to get the heat high enough - just a case of getting used to it and not skimping on the charcoal. No dings or cracks in mine but one of the 16 bolts for securing the frame legs was missing, fortunately I had a suitable spare.

So XDP just delivered my Rattan furniture from Aldi which was ordered exactly a week after the Kamado. Judging by the way it was lobbed out the back of the extremely tired looking van I'm a bit worried about how many pieces the AK will be in.
Is that the sofa set?Any good?

I’ve got the sofa set. It’s certainly good enough. Cushions are a little thin and the back is too low but for the money it’s excellent value. Mine’s kept outside all year round, under a cover in winter. Had it maybe 4 years and it’s as good as new. Any good?

Thanks for that. Sounds a good deal. I’m tempted to pick one up if it get online tomorrow morning. It does seem a nice addition to the garden.
