Mine arrived on Thursday, put it together last night and just doing a seasoning burn in it now. Some buyers have reported on various forums that theirs arrived with chips in the outer ceramic but I didn't have that problem. Loaded it with lump wood and lit with a couple of wood wools, came up to temp in about 15-20 minutes and has been holding a steady 225f for around a couple of hours now.

Mine arrived today, the Mrs pointed me to the above group which might prove useful in time.
Assembled and a few snorkers in, all good so far.

Has anyone's arrived?
Mine or should i say my sons has and its larger ( its not just measured them but looks that way) than last years and black, not complaining though.
I'm thinking of running it in for him along side my BGE
not fully unpacked yet but will report if its different from last years
Did you get to measuring your (son's) new one .... wondering if it is indeed larger than the 2018 one ?Mine or should i say my sons has and its larger ( its not just measured them but looks that way) than last years and black, not complaining though.

Spent an hour or so assembling mine yesterday. No issues with the unit, although like many people on the Facebook group, the felt pad backing was ste and didn't 'peel' like it was supposed to.
Lots of discussion on the group about damaged units - ranging from random chips, assembly chips to out and out smashed units. Mine arrived in basically pristine condition.
Fired it up and I have to say, it was pretty easy. Used big green egg starters and lump wood as they were conveniently sat next to each other in the store. Stuck my Weber chimney on top for 10 minutes and it was raring to go.
I was amazed at the lack of smoke - little to none of it. Little chance of pissing off the neighbours when you want to have a low and slow smoking session.
Ordered an inkwell wireless temp thermometer off amazon so I don't have to be present all the time for checking temps.

Delivery company called on Friday to arrange delivery. They could do Monday or wait a further week. With both myself and wife at work I said OK to Monday as the courier would call an hour prior to delivery (enough time to get back for delivery) ..... no call today so arrived home from work to this, positioned slap bang in front of the door. Pretty convenient for Mrs Bernieburger and junior bernieburgers 😳
Mine arrived today, delivery guys were good. I was a bit worried as the out met box was a bit battered, but thankfully all good.
Put it together in around an hour, even managed to get it on the stand on my own!
sadly too late to use tonight, but will be fired up tomorrow! Very excited!!

Did these on mine on Monday night. Chicken thighs with A&O Korean rub and Baby Panang sauce glaze served with an Asian style noodle salad. Ran it at about 220c to roast (deflector in) till cooked then a five minute glaze with sauce at the end. Dead easy to control the temps, you need to restrict the airflow before it gets to your desired temp, once it gets there it just holds solid. I did a couple of empty burns to break it in and get the feel of it
Lamb chumps Wednesday night seasoned with SPG and some rosemary. Put a few sprigs of woody rosemary onto the coals then cooked at about 210c indirect until rare then took the deflector out to give them a sear and bring up to medium. While they rested I cranked up the heat a bit and threw some padron peppers and corn on the grill.
Spicy potato salad on the side.
