You may be able to adjust it - there's 2 long bolts on the central band that can be used to tighten/loosen the hinge I believe.

If anyone is interested, as of 20 minutes ago there were 4 mini-kamodo's in Aldi Shirley. 10 minutes from J4 of M42. Plenty of parking round the back.

First cook at the weekend for mine. Ended up doing the vegetarian stuff on it, it’s really not designed to be used, more put some meat on and left. No real space to manoeuvre!

Just seen this on a FB group, thought it might help

Can anyone recommend a good divide and conquer type of set up for the Aldi Kamado? Doing a reverse sear tomahawk steak tomorrow and I know it's going to be a PITA already having to take it to bits mid way through the cook to take the deflector out.

I have the Ynni one in mine. It's a 2019 model so the 18" one fits, I think the 20" may fit later models but don't quote me on that.

Great bit of kit, the deflectors are nice and chunky and the grills seem decent quality. Will be using it later on a reverse seared tomahawk.

Welcome chaps. Just available, not reduced. £370.
Edit seem to have gone off, I’d keep checking back.

Cooked a spatchcock chicken whilst the AK was warming up for first attempt at pizzas - chicken and chorizo. Base was a bit thin, misshaped and too much cheese but I’m calling it a success.

A while back there was an email alert option you could sign up to. I've not received an alert since I bought mine and assumed I has been automatically subscribed for having placed an order.

Edit - just tried now in a browser I had not previously used for Aldi - went to their home page, did a search for kamado, and clicked on the item - new page opened up and I was prompted if I wanted to join a notification list.

Worth checking the website every now and again. There were some in stock earlier this afternoon and seems to be available now if you're quick.
