Just thin cut and arranged so there is a bit of space. Salt, pepper and smeared with butter. Baked until gold/crisped.
...then more salt.
I am going to have a go at at this at the weekend but with different veg. Time to crack out the mandolin ...then more salt.

I like the look of those potatoes too... will have to try.
Genuinely surprised by my shish attempts - flavour was much better than expected. I used neck fillet, and seasoned heavily with Sesame Oil, Oregano, Harrissa and Pepper. Smelt and tasted divine, I just kept eating it. Medium Rare from the charcoal, simply awesome.
The Chicken was also great, I used Sesame Oil, Oregano, Paprika, Lemon Juice, Pepper and a pinch of some sort of fish seasoning, sure it had a herb in there that I can't remember the name but know it is aniseedy. Anyway, again worked well.
The yoghurt with garlic, lemon and loads of diced Coriander all disappeared too. Like home made kebab shop food. Will def do it again.

did you follow clairs bon appetit recipe by any chance? (its on youtube). cos she layers her potato like that. i did this the other week. despite cooking it for 90 minutes the potato was still raw tasting where it wasn't submerged by the sauce.
This one?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erUacwsIxrw
Dear god will she please use a guide/hand protector if she is going to look directly into the camera while she is using a mandolin.

Quick question if I may.
Is anyone else having problems with Dizzee's pictures, which, whilst looking lovely, are absolutely massive and taking forever to load? All of the others seem to be okay for me apart from Dizzee's?
