It was my birthday yesterday and we decided to eat in as my nephew and his partner came up from Hampshire for dinner with us.
I got to choose and mostly cook the menu, Coquille St Jacques were the starter and I forgot to take a pic of that but here's some shots of the main course. Cote du Boeuf with mushroom diane sauce, rosemary and salt chips and my wife's crispy courgetti spaghetti which is much nicer that it looks.
There was only room for a little bit of cheese after that and we've only had a small breakfast today as we're taking them to Rathfinney Vineyard Tasting Room for lunch later.
There should have been a few more pics on that post, I'll try again.I got to choose and mostly cook the menu, Coquille St Jacques were the starter and I forgot to take a pic of that but here's some shots of the main course. Chicken with tomato, garlic and Nduja sauce, with mozzarella melted on top which ended up in the sauce. Served with air roasted potatoes with peppers and onions, and some token green stuff.
Very enjoyable.
Looks good, but the cans on the table spoil the image a bit. Got any glasses you can decant it into?Very enjoyable.

My laziness won't allow me to decant a can into a glass sadly, but what I will do (just for this thread) is buy some more kegs for my BeerWulf.
Bit classier and easier to hide the fact I only really drink Amstel....
Hey Bodhi - kegs from BeerWulf has got me looking at their beer/lager dispensers, is that what you use? I've now come up from the rabbit hole (Youtube) and I'm really wanting a Blade due to the size of their kegs. I'm a bit of an alchy and think nothing of drinking 6 cans of lager a day Bit classier and easier to hide the fact I only really drink Amstel....
What do you think of them? Is there a forum/thread on here anywhere?

I haven't seen a thread on them so I'll be (fairly) brief on this one so as not to derail it too much - but we've got the Sub, or the smaller one of the two. You can chill the kegs before putting them in the machine so no worries about getting them down to temperature - only thing to bear in mind is they take an hour or so to settle after you've loaded them in the machine, so if you're catering or want more than the 4 pints in a Sub the first pint is mostly froth if you get too impatient What do you think of them? Is there a forum/thread on here anywhere?
Refills are about £10 a go for the Sub, presumably more for the Blade, so cheaper (and tastes the same) as the pub, but a bit more than just drinking cans.
Brilliant bits of kit when you are used to them though.

I hope it wasn't expensive.
it was about 265 EUR including service and worth every cent. That was not all the food btw.In terms of quality it was approximate to a single Michelin star brasserie in Belgium.
I'm picky. But if you enjoyed it, you enjoyed it.
