Had fries too but they weren't ready in time for the photo.
That looks amazing. Pretty much burger perfection.

They're Waitrose Aberdeen Angus mince, the 15% fat stuff. Big grind of pepper and nowt else- no salt as it draws out the moisture.
Only 100g per patty but that's just enough to ensure some bark on the outside whilst still being slightly pink in the middle.

Get in there! clap

You went all upper middle class on the bun though .... you don't need to go that for the instagram....

Love seeing the pickle and tomato etc.

This is the best burger seen in a long time on here. Top work!

Lovely burger!

I've been making my own but only just found the 'smashed burger' method. It fills the bun/brioche and lowers the height. My press is smaller dia than most buns!

Yours looks a good burger/brioche/filling ratio.

Congratulations. Nobody has ever written that sentence before.

Your food is "challenging" culinary conventions for sure.

I like Brioche frown my only regret is not making my own buns but I've still not got quite the hang of butter enriched doughs.

A pie that took a month to cook.

Did slow cooked beef cheek and skirt in the slow cooker and said I would do a pie, but then the temps got too hot so I stuck it in the freezer.

Finally today got to cooking it. Had left over pastry from the self rolled store bought and so sprinkled with pepper, parmesan and dried oregano. Puff top and shortcrust base.

Very good.

Pie would have been even better made with curried beef !

Good man, still waiting for them to really take off here! Peak chanterelle now, baked with turbot tonight, don’t have a cooked photo I’m afraid!

Hardly any food left, only 2 chicken breasts and cupboard stuff. I found this tucked at the back. It’s only 10 months out of date, what’s the worst that can happen.

I’ll post the meal if I don’t die
