I had a load of onions to get rid of, so I made some French onion soup today. I didn’t have any white wine, so I improvised with vermouth instead. The usual FOS recipe calls for 250ml of white wine, so I altered the amounts and went with 245ml of vermouth.
Baguette and Gruyère on top, which could’ve done with a bit more time under the grill, really.

Crikey were those croûtes au fromage gratinated in the fridge? Baguette and Gruyère on top, which could’ve done with a bit more time under the grill, really.
Coronation chicken pie with Greek style yoghurt, curry paste and lemon juice dressing, broccoli and mange tout, Rodney.
I forgot to take a pic of the pie, which was quite a nice looking thing, before I cut it up.
Definitely one I would make again and without changing a thing from the BBC Good food recipe.
