Beef Wellington-perfecto. Popped in a temp probe. Pulled at 55C. Rested for 10 mins.

Seems to be a lot of blood maybe it needed resting a bit longer
That's not blood...

Lamb mince mousakka. First time making it for me

It came out really good. I slightly adapted a guardian recipe with a bit more tomato than suggested and a layer of potato and some courgette. I also used some Turkish chilli flakes and paprika. Yum

GBK burger cooked at home, best I’ve had.

I think they’re a great grill at home burger. I got a patty and bun home kit as an offer last week. Good but really not worth the extra that given 2 of those burgers are always on offer on Ocado. Midweek staple for me

I didn't take a pic yesterday but this is a pic of the leftovers. The recipe suggests to leave the dish to stand before serving up. I'm pleased to say it served up in nice squares like you'd find in a restaurant

Aye. We’ve multiple packs in the freezer as they were on deal. Haven’t tried them on bbq yet, but assuming they’ll be as good.

They just have that right meat flavour.

Large prawns & small scallops from the freezer simply fried, made some calamari, chorizo & spring onion fritters, roasted cauliflower florets with Thai spices, griddled pak choi and a shallot, garlic, ginger, chilli and coconut cream sauce.

A friend of mine does this Chilli Con Lasagna so thought I would give it a try.

I like the look and sound of that, how was it?
It was quite nice but made too much. Going to try a different version with a chilli pasta sauce

I'm struggling to know what to call this - intent was shrimp and cod alfredo, but I folded and added some bacon and peas, which may have converted it to carbonara.
Either way it was really good, though the butter, cream and mountain of grated parmesan means it will be a very occasional indulgence.

It’s not a carbonara if it has cream in it

Alfredo is butter and cheese, carbonara is egg and cheese. Lots of Italians get very upset with the additions of cream

24 hour marinated pork mince in soy, garlic, ginger and a dash of 5 spice with spring onions lovingly ladled onto a Yorkshire pudding base with a succulent side of egg fried rice.

Ok, I tried to sex it up ...

Meanwhile, back at the fridge, after 3 weeks the home cured bacon makes an appearance.

There is a matrimonial dispute at the moment over the sugar to salt curing mixture ratio !
