Cheers - yep home now - nothing too serious - a chest/lung infection causing my heart to go a bit too fast …

I’m taking it as a shot across the bows - making some lifestyle choices going forward.
Glad you’re ok, but your input in the dirty takeaway thread will be (presumably) missed!

Every few weeks I come back to this. Orecchiette with lardons, sundried tomato, mountains of spinach, and a garlic/parsley/panko sprinkle.

No pics but I had nuggets and meatballs in a bowl, covered in ketchup. I keep going back to it too.

We know what we like Tony wink

Yeah.. waffles.

Now.... if you had hand cracked the corn, pounded it for a week with stones, tapped the tree to collect the syrup and then reared the chicken yourself and added to the DIY takeaway thread you could have had something really special..

I'm having cheesy beans and a fried egg for lunch tomorrow!

I’d take that as compliment if I didn’t know you so well.

You know why would go well with those beans and eggs?

Waffles…

I know you’ve got some in the freezer Tone, it’s ok, you can tell me.

Not sure if we made the weather bad or the weather was bad so wanted this.

Either way it was delish!

I want to mock, if only on principle, but that looks great. Nice work.

Thank you - yes I may have to live vicariously from now on - but hopefully with the odd maybe "not so dirty"/Dirty Takeaway contributions as when I can wink

Hoping I don't get too many redcard 's or told to getmecoat.

Did you manage to get those sardines off the BBQ without breaking them in a million pieces?

I'm going yes, as I can do it. Makes a mess of the grill though.

I oiled the grill and to be honest could have done with a wire fish rack. I had a few casualties but it was ok and delicious

Seeing as summer's over I think it's reasonable to have pig and cauliflower cheese.

I don't cook that often, but was feeling nostalgic recently, so I made a 70s/80s classic. Monkfish "scampi", chips and lemon mayonnaise. Just missing the basket.

Very nice, perfect summer dinner.

Made this last night (ok it’s their photo) buts bloody lovely. Left overs for lunch. Gnocchi hits the right spot for me! Recipe is fairly basic and quick but just right
