I can cook rice, but when ever there is anything else but rice and water I fk it up.

Anyway, this popped into my head so worth a try, followed recipes online but should stick with my gut, needs much more flavour!

Lettuce tomato make little boats of food. Yum

I'm just impressed with the consistency with which you manage to get peas into your meals.

Was this your work?

That reminds me of tripe... had it on the specials menu at St John thinking that they'd do something special with it... not only was it ste it was expensive...

Thats one on my bucket list.
Worth it, and remarkably accessible. The broad bean starter there was among the best 'simple' dishes I've ever eaten.

By contrast, the French really know their way around a black pudding.

I ate this at a tiny (10 covers) restaurant in St Germain while I was over for Le Crunch a couple of months back. The American tourists sitting next to us (regular visitors to 'Europe') looked like they were going to pass out when I explained what it was. The slices must have been a good 5" diameter, served with buttery mash and poached apples (tart as hell). Divine.
5" black pudding! I want some of that!!

Those m25er’s needed to know!

Peas are a vegetable, so why not throw them in with other veg. I do have limits to where they can go, but I’ve not discovered them yet…

Two slices about an inch thick each had me reaching for a Gaviscon digestif!

Just woofed this down..........

Cajun spiced bass and chive dressing on a bed of roast potato and sweet potato and Cavolo Nero

Wifey is an excellent cook in her own right but due to heavy workload we've been using Hello Fresh - 3 meals a week for two of us 30 quid. Really is good stuff. Everything in the box, all fresh and no waste.

No offal here. A 28 degree day calls for salad.

Where's the salad? wink
What's the stuff in the sauce on the right?

We had salad last night, too. Hit 30C in my neck of the woods!
Expect thunderstorms today.

The white stuff is a combo of prawn and surimi salad from the supermarket. To offer some balance, the radishes were from my garden. And yeah, storms expected later.

Speaking of offal.
I am partial to pig cheeks, chicken or duck hearts, and love lamb sweetbreads and tripe.
But I can rarely find any, and my local butchers are not exactly the offal type either.

Can anyone recommend good online butchers that offer a wide variety of offal cuts?

ETA: I also love lamps!

I've just posted in an ode to you on the lunch thread.

You missed my question to you a few days back about chive heads. I googled it!

Are those chive heads? Can you eat them?
Yes they are and yes you can. Mine are in flower now so it's a perfect time to tuck in. They make a pretty accompaniment and taste oniony.
