2kg butterflied leg of lamb reared 10 mins away from my house. Oil, lemon, chilli, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.

To be continued....

The white stuff is a combo of prawn and surimi salad from the supermarket. To offer some balance, the radishes were from my garden. And yeah, storms expected later.

I've just posted in an ode to you on the lunch thread.

You missed my question to you a few days back about chive heads. I googled it!

This one?

Are those chive heads? Can you eat them?
Yes they are and yes you can. Mine are in flower now so it's a perfect time to tuck in. They make a pretty accompaniment and taste oniony.
Thanks 48K - I was pretty sure I'd responded at the time.

Wouldn't recommend marigolds.

Pansies. (Not you, the flowers).

Lads, I’ve got some bad news. It’s chippy, it’s spread and he’s terminal.

We had one last meal and a dirty bokeh shot before being PTS.

Speaking of offal.
I am partial to pig cheeks, chicken or duck hearts, and love lamb sweetbreads and tripe.
But I can rarely find any, and my local butchers are not exactly the offal type either.

Can anyone recommend good online butchers that offer a wide variety of offal cuts?

ETA: I also love lamps!

Would it be inappropriate to say Rest In Peace(is)?

Whacked from a germ and gardening today so knocked out a mature (as in a week or so past its date) Tesco rump steak etc.

The wine this evening was lager.

Hot dogs are something the Tickles don't really have at home; however, they look very good!

May have hot dogs tonight. Cheers Tony

Tony - they look epic.

I had a hankering for hot dogs end of last week- but always find the bread to sausage ratio way off - so bought the chubby hot dogs, and used half a bun each (bit like in Germany where you get a small piece of bread to affectively hold the sausage while dipping it in the mustard)

Didn't bother with sweating down onions - just chopped up cornichons/red onion finely, and then Franks Yellow Mustard and Heinz ketchup ..... lick

Lidl mini Bockwurst and Lidl brioche buns (toasted)

Todays will be with sticky onions, burger cheese, bacon, pickled jalapenos, red onion and harissa mayo. (and anything else I can find in the fridge to use up)
