Odd dinner tonight. I was in a rush between work meetings. Portion of brisket slow cooked in beer from the freezer mixed into rice cooked with chillies and then laced with lots of chilli oil. Sounds odd, looks odd, tasted decent

I explained on the steak thread that it was a defrosted (in less than 2 hours) piece of flank, so it's never going to look good. It barely had any colour when it was defrosted.

A true measure of success. That and CdG doesn't like circles. I cut them like this to match the shape of me peas.

Vegan poke bowls for dinner this evening.

Wholegrain rice, sesame and chili roast broccoli, teriyaki tofu, edamame beans, avocado, quick pickled cabbage and carrot, topped with Sriracha mayo.

A healthy, low-effort, midweek vegan meal.
