Finally, and this is for the sanctimonious smartarses, I've just has a skim back through the thread to see what you've posted recently as examples of your fantastic cooking skills; quelle surprise to see, oh, not very much.
Anyway, I enjoyed my tinned fish and salad, thanks for caring. Bon appetit, whatever you put in your gob!

Your dinner looked absolutely miserable, and I've no idea what compelled you to share it with the world.
You know 100% what this thread is about and if you don’t like it you know where the back button is. If you want good food and recipes may I suggest you go to some food websites? Not a motoring site that hosts your average joe, well most of us are, who just want to share some photos and have a bit of laugh at their own expense sometimes.
Regardless, CdG, what wine did you pair with your mackerel?
Seyre1972, glad you’re back in the real world. Sometimes comfort food is best, but a distinct lack of cheddar poured all over it!

Is that Feta on top Tony??21TonyK said:
It is, the cheapo one from Aldi. Very mild, almost like cheese curds, not very feta like. Tend to use if on anything semi-Mexican, fajitas, burritos etc
Never really thought of that on mexican. Mrs Tickle uses yogurt to take the heat out, will suggest Feta. It's something we usually have in too.Cheers

And I like tinned mackerel by the way.

Invented in Oldham, the dish is also popular in Bury and Rochdale, and is eaten across the Lancashire area. Rag pudding pre-dates ceramic basins and plastic boiling bags in cookery, and so the cotton or muslin rag cloths common in Oldham were used in the....
But, but...

an ex of mine sold glassware for a while and different shaped glasses do taste different! To do with where it lands the drink on your tongue. White wine tall, hits the back of your tongue; red wine more curved, hits the front of your tongue. They ran glass tasting sessions.Blown2CV said:
