Home cooked Stew and dumplings with 4hr slow cooked lamb with a bottle of (my opinion) one of the worlds best white wines, a stellenbosch.
veggie ingredients - all from sainsbury
1.2ltr water
3 knoll stock pots (we use 2 veg and 1 chicken)
1 x veggie pack - 1 swede, 3 carrots,
half a bag of new potatoes - vivaldi
1 onion
1 leek
2/3 cloves of garlic roughly chopped
sprinkling of mixed herbs out of a jar
half a mini bottle of white wine
1 soup broth mix where the lentils are
total cooking time about an hour on low heat.
for the dumplings:
150g self raising
50g suet
25g parmesan
large helping of mixed herbs
place dumplings into cauldron 25 mins prior to stew finishing.
meat ingredients (4 hours in separate slow cooker)
1 lamb shank
half a red onion
4 litres of water
4 chicken knoll stock pots 1 veggie
a sprinkling of mixed herbs

One of Jamie Oliver's finest creations, proper home cooking an Empire Roast. Decided to try out the new cooked, frozen whole lobster that sainburys are stocking. I usually buy the uncooked frozen tails and have had a good experience with them. These are £11 each.
These ones were also smaller but tasted very nice. I cut them in half, knob of butter and wrapped in foil. i placed them on a baking tray and heated them at 180c in the fan oven for about 15mins.
Bit of fresh pasta, cherry tomato sauce with some basil. Grated cheese on the top. Served with a pizza garlic bread and white wine.

She didn’t want any roast, sooo....
The beef was some m&s jobby, said to cook for 50 mins, that was 30 with 10 rest, annoying! Far too over cooked.
Man what I would pay for that right now... my obsession with hot cross buns, (for my sins I always found tesco to be the best). Here in the US closest we have is cinnamon raisin bread...The beef was some m&s jobby, said to cook for 50 mins, that was 30 with 10 rest, annoying! Far too over cooked.
