Home made Mac and cheese tonight. My favourite home cooked meal. This week with chicken and sausage in.

Do you know my stepmum? She "caramelises" everything like that, King Alfred style.

If you polished that lot off - safe to assume you fell into a deep slumber on the sofa afterwards ?

Mushy Peas and Beans ..... nono One or t'other is personal preference.

My first ever attempt at home-made fish and chips following a Gordon Ramsey recipie (not that there's much to it)...

3 things:

1. Still not a fan of fish and chips - although this is now going to be added to the rota as everyone (apart from me) loved it.
2. Didn't put the cooked fillet on a wire rack after cooking so by plating time the underneath was a little soggy...
3. I think having lots of oil in a deep pan would be better - adding the fish drops the oil temp drops quite a bit.
