I'd have thought you couldn't visit a Thai establishment, hard to avoid!

Anyway.

Mash-up of the chickpea and chorizo stew I made on Monday with the remains of the lamb I made last night. Was utterly delicious!

I know many fans of MC/Kenny Miller's jailhouse chilli disdain the (admittedly incorrect) use of mince, but that's all I had. I added mushrooms and served with the veg that needed eating up.
The rest of the mammoth portion will be served with rice to guests on Friday, but this taster was pretty good despite looking very runny.

It tasted really good but I'll try and do a lot better with presentation for my guests.

Sure - Frau GenX found it on Pinterest. Wade through all the bluster and the ingredients and method are further down this page:

Out for a curry last night - chicken korma, chicken shashlik, Bombay potatoes, keema naan and pilau rice, all washed down with a couple of large Cobras.

Broke out the mexican china and made some Vegan fajitas - actually wasn't too bad to be honest. Not exactly a complex dish - The chicken was substituted wih air-fryed spiced yams, and bar vegan totillas & cheese, it wasn't really that much different to normal chicken fajitas.

I’m struggling to understand how a tortilla cannot be vegan - isn’t is just flour and water?

Proper tortillas are often made with lard.

Didn’t know that - thanks. I thought like most Asian flatbreads it was a really simple dish for poor folk to make - just looking up the recipes now

They make them with vegan water - I assume this is why they cost more.

Was a good few years ago but remember one of the local curry places stopped selling Cobra and replaced it with mongoose instead, according to them it was how Cobra used to / should have been.

Was a cracking pint but apart from that one place and the odd bottle at an independent off-licence which was also good I've not seen it since - shame really as I like Cobra an Indian restaurant but the shop bought stuff is pretty naff.

Probably worth looking up where Mexico is as well, as I've never heard a tortilla referred to as an "Asian flatbread" wink
