I'm not that much of a rosé drinker, but I do enjoy the occasional Volubilia Gris at this time of year.

Provence Rose is absolutely perfect summer 'session wine'.
Agreed. We always have some to hand at this time of year
Lady petrol wink

The drier stuff is lovely to quaff with a long afternoon lunch.

This is the one we drink most of through the summer… c.€5, but have bought it below €4 on promotion.

It’s much bette than it’s price and Vivino rating imply.

Tempranillo and cab.

Harissa, ras el hanout and yoghurt marinaded chicken thighs roasted in a hot oven, homemade riata, a “special” salad including dukkah, flatbreads, a few cheeky frites

Moved today so had pre-purchased a dinner (and beer!) knowing I’d be knackered. Charlie Bingham needs to up his game, £6 for this! Meatballs al forno.

I used to live on Charlie Binghams through the week before I retired. Reasonable food for ready meals. I’d then live on take always Friday-Sunday.

Add in the stress of corporate life and 60hr weeks and it was a healthy existence laugh

One of my absolute favourites tonight… Chicken and mushroom risotto. Like all the best Italian meals, not complicated to make, but get the ingredients right and the taste is fabulous. If I could only eat one cuisine for the rest of my life it would be Italian.

Was this bought in one of those little restaurants where you pay for a 'ticket' at the vending machine, and hand it over to the chef at the counter?
