Flat iron on curtain road is an easy walk, just checked, it’s 2 Miles so maybe a little far.
But Excellent value and make sure you like steak!
Good drinks menu too.

I like the sound of the German Gym. I believe they own Quaglinos as well, a bit hen night there so it put me off but I’ll try it now.
There is also a square on the other side of kings cross that has a couple of different tapas barsOne is really small and does flights of sherry and small plates.
That's good as well, but has less sausage.

Hi All,
Meeting some friends on Sunday who have a late afternoon train from Kings Cross. I'm looking for somewhere not too far away (15 min walk) for a decent range of beers and good food.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dicky
Depending upon your tastes, and how lazy you are, the Booking Office in St Pancras Renaissance Hotel?Meeting some friends on Sunday who have a late afternoon train from Kings Cross. I'm looking for somewhere not too far away (15 min walk) for a decent range of beers and good food.

I am quite fond of it, because when I was a younger man I used to alight the taxi and run like a maniac through there in order that I didn't miss my train. That was before it was redeveloped into a nice bar obviously and was still an open ticket office. Now that it's a nice bar, I enjoy reminiscing whilst becoming slowly stupefied with wine.
There is great Turkish on the corner Gray's Inn Road meets Kings Cross.

A few doors away is a good Tandoori restaurant.

that's a really good call - this place is very well liked in LondonshireThanks all.
Tapas is strictly off the menu as they are coming in from Spain and I have been told 'no tapas'. Spoons is where my kids go.
My plan was The Skinners Arms followed by Cattle and Co with Dishoom as Plan B.
But just seen The Skinners Arms is closed on a Sunday which is a shame so maybe straight to Cattle and Co.
Thanks again for the recommendations.
