Interesting, I've never yet found a shop-bought one that tastes anything like the stuff most Korean restaurants serve. I'm heading to my local Asian supermarket tomorrow, I'll have a look for that.

Edit: Last jar I had was when Wifey went to Brecon and found a place that made their own (not available online) I left it in the cupboard unopened and about a week i heard a weird drip drip drip noise in the kitchen - opened the cupboard and saw a puddle of bubbling liquid on the bottom shelf. The lid was bulging and when I unscrewed the lid it was like Mount Vesuvius erupting yikes I didn't taste it rofl
