The pic was an afterthought, so soz, like.

But behold, the Dunkin Donuts Beyond Sausage sandwich.

Better than it looked!

To be fair, they couldn't be any worse than the standard ones.

I tried the Beyond Meat burgers this weekend. They were very good, but £5 for two is a lot. The No Bull burgers from Iceland are almost as good and are £2 for a packet of two. Bit of a hidden gem.

The other day bought some Sage and Onion Stuffing just to prepare for the end of times

But then it seemed we would be able to cope, so I decided to pep stuffing up a bit !

Sage and onion stuffing au gratin with chillies !

Very good indeed.

One to remember for next Christmas.

Whack some cheese on that and you're golden.

I think he meant fromage rather than gratin which is a cooking technique usually involving cheese and bread crumbs to make a crust, given sage and onion stuffing is primarily breadcrumbs I guess technically with cheese on it becomes gratin but I am not sure that's what he meant.

They're quite widely available, deffo at our Morrisons. They don't stand out though, they have quite normal looking packaging. I thought they were ok (nice and greasy and had a sausage like skin) but clearly not made of pig.

Since we are all at home, and Dort v2 is vegetarian, we've been making a lot of vegetarian dishes for dinner, or dishes we can adapt to have 1 vegetarian version of.

JOliver's "VEG" book has come in very handy, plus a couple of dishes from his current C4 programmes.

Beyond Meat burgers, too.
Wow, they really are very good, if a bit pricey at €5.99 for 2 locally.
I could give up home made beef burgers for these. The taste and protein texture is a scientific gem.

Tried some of the Quorn burgers the other week, pack of 6, look like cheap thin burgers.

Well, let me tell you, they tasted exactly like those Rustlers microwave burgers. These bring back school summer holiday memories for me from a long time ago, except they didn't have any of the gritty crunchy bits.

Now i'm not a veggie or vegan but I do enjoy incorporating V&V meals into my meal plans as quite a few of my friends are so I'd be buying these burgers again.

Ditto the Quorn mini 'sausages' found in the fridge section. They have the same taste and texture as the cheap stuff you used to find on cocktail sticks in 80s party buffets. A nice little indulgence.
