The burgers with the beetroot "blood"?

We can't buy those here.

The other day bought some Sage and Onion Stuffing just to prepare for the end of times

But then it seemed we would be able to cope, so I decided to pep stuffing up a bit !

Sage and onion stuffing au gratin with chillies !

Very good indeed.

One to remember for next Christmas.
Whack some cheese on that and you're golden.
I think he meant fromage rather than gratin which is a cooking technique usually involving cheese and bread crumbs to make a crust, given sage and onion stuffing is primarily breadcrumbs I guess technically with cheese on it becomes gratin but I am not sure that's what he meant.
That was stuffing cooked with breadcrumbs and cheese on top ! Can I blame my camera?

Now I am worrying about my amount of cheese toppings on stuff. Getting paranoid....

I did this today , our next door neighbour who takes pity on us and walks the dogs with my good lady wife left some garlic bulbs left on the gate when I got home from the dog walk... so using those I got one of my Tesco's 30p pizza bases out of the freezer and rather than a pizza just did it as a snack

My wife ate some rivta thins with seeds and all the seeds fall off so I scooped them up and put them on top! In hard times etc.

Fantastic.

Can anyone recommend me a vegan cookbook? I know there are plenty of rated ones out there but I'm looking for something that focuses on simple meals ready in 20 minutes, maybe 30 max.

I've got a few great recipes as it is, but some require 20 ingredients and take 45 minutes to cook, which is what I'm trying to avoid.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1910931896/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_vRWMEb4HG5S75

Great cookbook. It's half veggie and half vegan but easily worth the money just for the vegan. It is split up into sections based on time to prepare.

Edit - link didn't work. Green Roasting Tin.

Bosh! have published a few good vegan cookbooks:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/BOSH-Recipes-Amazing-Fast...

Edited to add the Jack Monroe vegan cook book. The recipes are designed to be simple. She’s on BBC1 in the morning at the moment.

Picked up a couple of frozen plant burgers in Aldi, not seen them in there before, good complement to their Quorn stock and fresh veggie stuff.

Will see how they taste later in the week.

Some of those BOSH recipes seem full of oil, sugar, salt etc, but I noticed they do a health orientated one so I have purchased that, thanks. Will see how I get on with these two before pushing Jack Monroe's.

Just to add, been Vegan for 5 months and I absolutely love it. Best lifestyle decision I have made...next on the list is quitting alcohol smile

I'm a big meat eater but I have high cholestoral so have been looking at replacements with low saturated fat.
Tried Iceland vegan sausages,absolutely revolting,what they were thinking I don't know,1 out of 10.
Next I tried Linda McCartney's,much better, actually look like real bangers a bit.....quite dry but I imagine it's hard to replicate the fat juices without fat.Didn't taste bad either so 6 out of 10.

Found a nicer sausage than LM's,Veggie Kitchen at Farmfoods.Look like a sausage and taste like a sausage.... although still a bit dry so I'll try them fried in a little olive oil next time
