Well Chick Fil A is closely linked to the WinShape Foundation who funds the National Christian Foundation who currently have a minister in Uganda campaigning closely with the Ugandan government for anti LGBT laws which include the Death Penalty. I'd say the death penalty is pretty much the definition of erasing LGBT peoples existence.
This is not true btw and has been debunked! Chick Fil a's owners never gave money to kill or convert homosexuals in Uganda or anywhere else. They simply supported their stance against same-sex marriages. Please check this: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/uganda-murder-ga...

WinShape Foundation was set up by the same married couple (man and wife as they consider it should be) who also founded Chick Fil A. So pretty closely linked.
yup - I'm with you on that, that's closely linked
WinShape Foundation have also made donations to Family Research Council (look them up on SPLC) who proposed targetting LGBT rights by splitting the L G B and T. There has been vast sums of dark money entering the UK over the past couple of years via crowdfunds which has financed such groups as Get the L out and just this week a new anti trans group LGB Alliance which is seemingly mostly made up of strait people. Whilst the crowdfund anonymous donations into anti trans groups makes tracing the money difficult the links between prominent campaigners in the UK and US and similar (identical) tactics very much shows the links back to FRC, HF etc.

Additionally they have also previously funded Exodus International, a group set up to link people who practised conversion therapy and also campaigned against LGBT rights in yet again Uganda back in 2009 where they were campaigning for the death penalty for homosexuality.

Hardly debunked.

eta

A good chunk is true. Another bit was walked back/denied by the government due to the semantics of legalising LGBT murder (the tweet) vs law of execution, and the last bit is not disproven but rather unclear of the extent of involvement of the Christian Foundation's minister in Uganda

I am struggling to believe that there are people in this world getting upset that a fast food chicken 'restaurant' is closing, and yet here we are.

People should be far more interested in standing up for the rights of their fellow citizens to protest against things they see as personally important. In this case, protesting a large company who actively donate money to what could easily be described as bigotry and hatred.

We should be thankful we can protest against things in this country.

AIUI the donation was a very small proportion of their charitable outlay (that could be misreporting though). Funny how the lgbt+-*/w community chooses to ignore all the good stuff the Chick Fil A does
I hear Jimmy Saville did a lot of charity work, too.
