Spent a boozy, wet, afternoon here on Saturday gone:

https://www.twicebrewedbrewhouse.co.uk/

....walked there from Bardon Mill station and back

They have an excellent range of beers brewed on site most of which are highly original, some bordering on the outright unusual! Most are hazy but very little of your typical grapefruit/mango 'craft' stuff, instead some infused with herbs, juniper and other unusual flavours. Really enjoyable and it's great they are pushing the boundaries, every time you find at least one or two 'new' experimental beers.

...whilst not unusual per se (other than being brewed here) I really enjoyed their Juno black czech lager (bock). The cherry milk stout was also lovely.

all in all a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and some decent food too, all at reasonable prices. Sore head next day

I'm back in the US and currently at the Mountain Rambler brewery in Bishop CA. Gradually working my way through the menu.
Shieldback is a winner. The Hazy IPA was a little thin. Now on to the Amber Ale.
I thought the Cloudwater brewery tap was hipster central, but it's got nothing on this place smile

Fallen Acorn, Gosport are entering voluntary liquidation next week. Tap room open this weekend and then the doors closed. Had been on the cards a few weeks but sad to see another larger south coast brewery close.

Vault City have been mentioned here before and you occasionally see some of their some of their "less complex" beers in the supermarket but they now do their strawberry and peach as a standard offering in Tesco.

Their stuff isn't for everyone for any means but if it's mildly appealing to you I'd urge you to try and get some of their more unusual items from their site, specialist shops or better still from their Wee Vault or Taproom up in Edinburgh if you're up that way. I don't know how they do it but some of the flavours are absolute witchcraft, a beer has no right to be able to taste like a Wagon Wheel but do so a layer at a time and drinkable carrot cake is something else.

DB16, Hazy IPA released today. Only 300 bottles available.
It's very tasty too, although it's rationed for brewery staff, so you lot can get some as well!!

What food did you have ? I had the meatballs which were quite tasty - think the other two were vegan options so avoided them !

La Chouffe is becoming extremely prolific now, which is good. It also seems to be very popular, the shelves are generally well depleted. The hipster in me is a little disappointed that the beer only I knew about is now mainstream, though.

Anyway, I am enjoying a couple this evening. More than two and I will be asleep.

La Chouffe has been widely available in supermarkets for about 2 years now. I think Tesco has stocked it for ages. It's great stuff though personally I prefer Chimay Triple (which you can also get in Tesco).

Anyway, just about to crack this. Hardly the weather but oh well. 12.5% imperial stout aged for 9 months in Heaven Hill (best known for Elijah Craig and Evan Williams) bourbon barrels. I'm a big fan of Arbor's darker beers.

Bought a selection from Booths today for this evening. Enjoyed the Transmission and the 7 Brothers Cast Off (brewed from surplus Kellogg’s corn flakes would you believe!), not so keen on the Cannon Ball.

That 7 Brothers is strangely moorish isn't it ?! I've liked all of the beers I've had from them.

Agree about the Cannon Ball & virtually all from Magic Rock - just haven't got on with them. Apparently they were sold to somebody and things got worse but think they are back by themselves again now so things might improve ?

Cannonball is one of the better supermarket beers.
