Quite a few beers/brewery's are changing their labels/cans - bloody annoying grumpy

When I go to buy NEW beers and find out it's the same old st that I've drunk before I'm really annoyed bangheadrolleyes
I'm not sure it's at all relevant to your annoyance but your post has made me wonder something. I drink craft beer every so often but it's not my staple so it's not something I've ever thought about.

Will a different season/'vintage' of hops (or even yeast and other ingredients) noticeably change the taste of beer year to year? Obviously it does with wine and cider.

I asked this on a brewery tour the other week (Crooked Spider), they buy their hops ground and formed in to pellets, and the suppliers blend them to get a pretty consistent product over time.

Got very drunk on pints of Stone IPA in Death Valley once. Nearly fell off the bar stool. Didn't realise it was 7% at the time smile

I just looked. It’s almost twice the price of buying in the USA, good to know it’s available though.

I had this on the weekend. Absolutely sublime and so smooth and balanced for a seventeen percent beer.

Not really a strong beer drinker but this at 10% went down nicely,

I've another of theirs at 8% in the fridge, this could lead to something.

What is that then?

Chouffe Blonde is the only craft beer I drink and it is lethally punchy.

I have a fridge full of it. It is beer heroin. Just one at the start of the evening and I am fighting to stay awake, if I drink anything at all afterwards.

Lagunitas is fully owned by Heineken - not seen it in cans/bottles for a while but it does seem to be creeping into pubs. You can also get it from Beerwulf to go in the Sub or Blade keg dispenser thingies: https://www.beerwulf.com/en-gb/p/brewers/lagunitas...

£10 from my local bottle shop and £3 from Asda. Quite the difference but both are solid breweries.

Randomly, Lagunitas is on draft on the Hull to Rotterdam P&O ferry.

Getting back to what "craft" beer is. One man in an industrial unit Brewing one beer at a time. This is from Swindon behind the old Renault building.

It looks like a hazy pale ale but tastes like a classic English Bitter. Bit weird.

The last of a Vault City batch purchased during dry January, saved till last and finally cracked open tonight.
A sticky texture with lots of blackberry covering the Bucky, not that sour really but still good stuff.
