Is that a remote thermometer? I'm thinking of getting one, any recommendations?
Meater is the one I would go for.its not cheap but really does work. Version 2 has an improved bluetooth range. https://store-uk.meater.com/products/meater-2-plus

I have the Meater + it's fab. I use it all the time with joints of meat, in the BBQ and oven and now air fryer. Not sure what the differences are with the newer one, looks like higher temps and probably better bluetooth..... but I definitely recommend them.

Try roast pork... Cracking is awesome
2 weeks ago we had shoulder of pork
Last week roast loin
Awesome
Interesting. I normally think of shoulder as being low and slow. What timings and temp did you do and how was the meat consistency? 2 weeks ago we had shoulder of pork
Last week roast loin
Awesome
20 mins at 200 c
Then 25 mins per 500g
Basting from time to time.
I used a thermometer to check on internal temp.
The last 25 min session may be reduced...
Remove and rest for 10 mins
Hope that helps

Looking for advice. We saw a Salter EK4750 in "Middle Lidl" this morning for £89.99. It is a 2 drawer (3.7 litres each, total 7.4 litres). The reviews are very good. There are two of us and we usually cook from scratch every day. Would this be a good way of getting into airfrying?
The missus wanted to buy it straight away, but I am not an impulse buyer.
2 drawer works well for the 2 of us. The ability to two things with different settings and timing simultaneously is great. The missus wanted to buy it straight away, but I am not an impulse buyer.

I prefer a single large drawer as I think it offers more options for larger items, but I know many here like the flexibility of being able to cook different things simultaneously. I think the number of drawers is really the only choice you need make.
Some fryers ...the more expensive ones usually, have 1 large drawer with the addition of 2 elements and a seperator so have the benefits of both typesThis two drawer AF might work well for people. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tefal-Dehydrate-Non-Stick...
After a few weeks of the John Lewis AF im mightily pleased.
Only issue is cleaning and I can see why dual fryers are around as doing a full meal is hard work when you've got meats/fries/veg you need to do.
Very pleased with how quick it does meat.
I bought a Russell Hobbs Microwave with "air fryer" but its no more than a convection fan and didn't get hot enough so defeated the object in savings on time/electricity.

For those of you with Ninja AF300s how long do fresh chicken breasts take to cook on average ?
My non Ninja appears to be taking longer than it used to and am considering 'upgrading' to a Ninja
Air fry - 15mins @ 200C (AF400)My non Ninja appears to be taking longer than it used to and am considering 'upgrading' to a Ninja
Get the AF400 over the AF300. Hardly any difference in footprint, but more practical space inside.
