Looks like a cheese-stuffed mushroom and chicken wings?

Ok. In the cold light of day, it's a bit more identifiable. smile

I could do with a new crisper plate for our ninja - Ninja have been out of stock for ever and the one I tried from amazon lasted 2 months before the coating started coming off.

Anyone have any luck replacing theirs?

Looking to venture into the air fryer world.

Have been at friends and they've whipped up a decent dinner in record time with the air fryer.

How do you adjust / know cooking times from standard products?

For example there's some frozen chips at the back of the freezer, 200 degrees for 20 mins in a fan oven (from memory) how would I know how long these would need in an air fryer? Same goes for cooled chicken breast etc.
The Ultimate Air Fryer book by Clare Andrews covers a lot of this.

Anyone got the £99 Lidl wifi enabled airfryer? Debating whether to pick one of these up to replace our older one which isn't big enough to do much in and has an annoying mechanical timer that doesn't turn on unless you turn it to over 5 minutes.

That sounds a bit like mine, although it will turn on for three minutes to warm it up.

Thanks for the conversion table above too (sorry, can't see who posted it now I'm in the reply screen), that will be handy. I've been doing everything at 200C.

Ditched my Mechanical, cheap, one draw one. Now got a dual draw, digital one, 100 x better.

Every thing at 200c rofl

We found the time difference for roast potatoes means we can have them whenever we want. Previously the cooking time made them something we would only do for a proper roast dinner.

They are not as good as oven ones, but are about 90% there.

Agreed, earlier in the thread was rather scathing about air fryer roasties, but par boiling, really leaving then to steam dry, and using roast setting on the fryer has helped. As you say, definitely not as good as oven ones, but the time saved is significant.

Went ahead and bought one, so far all I have done is turn it on and off from my phone, just because I can 😁 looking forward to actually cooking something in it.

The trouble is, I don't want to be faffing about. If I use a lower temperature, and it's not done properly, I don't find out until it's on the plate, then I've got to mess around putting it back in for a bit, and maybe the chips were OK so they don't need any more, but start going cold while I'm trying to heat the rest of it properly.

It is a single drawer mechanical thing, came to me for free so I figured I'd have a go, not sure I'm at a point yet where it's worth actually buying a better one for the use it gets.

I'll experiment, honest.

That cheat sheet is a lengthy way of saying 'minus 20 degrees from the fan oven temp' and 'minus 20 percent on the cooktime'.

Sometimes it pays to see it written down. If you are tired and just in from work. Working out timmings in your head is the last thing you want to do. Much easier to check a table. Pin it tobyour notice board.

They do come back in stock eventually but you have to unfortunately be really patient and keep checking, I picked up a ninja af160 & the crisper plate had been knackered so needed one & eventually got lucky through ninja. There were coming up some times on farcebook marketplace & a bit more regularly on ebay but people were often asking more than retail.

Are the generic ones on Amazon no good?

Also way off, in my experience.

My Ninja cooks faster than that

Obviously depends on the portion size and temp, I can do a portion of oven chips in about 9 mins, as opposed to 20 in the oven for example

No, non stick comes off.

Thanks trix, I’ll keep looking.
