Anyone any tips for cooking belly pork in the air fryer ?
30 minutes for plain crispy chunks of belly. Can’t remember if I did it at 180-200C. Probably on the side of caution, 180. Can always put more heat in, can’t take it out.Or for flavoured, 20 mins, cover in sauce of choice - maple syrup, bbq - back in for another 10.
Worked ok for us.

I've been thinking about the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone air fryer, but I see they do a multicooker, which can also do pressure cooking and steaming. Does anyone know if the air frying is just as good in the Mult-Cooker as it is in the dedicated Air Fryer?
We’ve got the multi cooker one.Air frying works fine, although I only have limited experience of other air fryers.
Only difference is space.
That it can do everything else makes it really very useful too.
I feel like I need an air fryer after reading this.
There's just the two of us.
Seems a waste putting the oven on to warm up etc just to cook a few chips.
If it can reduce the need to get a frying pan out with all the associated splatter then it seems a win win
Any other benefits to persuade me to click buy?

I was on the fence and went for one and TBH it is the best thing I have bought for the kitchen. There's just the two of us.

Like you it is just the two of us, I went for a dual drawer Ninja, the oven has hardly been used since I purchased it about 6-8 weeks ago, my gas use is minimal now with hardly any noticeable change in my electric bill.
It cooks alot quicker and the timings are far more accurate, potato products cook far better than in an oven, so parmentier potatoes, crispy potato slices, wedges, home made chips etc,
Other advantages over an oven: far easier to clean, minimal smell, doesn't heat the kitchen up, cheaper to run, no pre heating.
Go for it.
I'm finding that whan I'm cooking using ours there is a certain amount of unlearning what you already know and relearning techniques for your air/fryer - combi boiler, certainly if you use the steam / pressure cook functions. I'm less happy about making up a meal as I go along than I am using conventional hob / oven.
Thanks. I have been wanting to try a pressure cooker for ages as well as an air fryer, so it made sense to get the Multi-Cooker.
The official Ninja shop on ebay have 10% off some listings at the moment. I just ordered a manufacture certified refurbished 15-in-1 OL750UK for £179.10 delivered. Seems like a good deal.

I have zero cooking skills to unlearn so no worries in that department. Have another 20 minutes cleaning the stainless hob and extractor fan last night....I will be ordering an air fryer today.
Good job it's payday.

Another vote to go for it here.
Since I've had mine, the only feature on my conventional oven I still use is the timer.
You've figured out how to set your oven timer?!Since I've had mine, the only feature on my conventional oven I still use is the timer.
In 15 years we've never fathomed that out; since our air fryer arrived the oven is just another cupboard.

It's a bit of a paradox now that the oven will never break because it is not being used, but if it did, I would think long and hard about whether it was worth replacing it.

I'm making sure the new fryer's dimensions make sure I can fit it in the oven's cavity so it's not constantly on the kitchen worktop...

I never use preheat and don't think it's necessary as these things get up to temperature so quickly. Certainly oven chips work well in them though!
My Ninja dual tray thing doesn’t even have a pre-heat setting. You just turn it on and off it goes.Prior to this I had a Tower branded big single tray type. That did have a pre- heat setting. It used to make great poppodums - the Sharwoods type ones you get that just need heating up. I’ve tried to do them in the Ninja but the fan seems to be too strong. As soon as I start the cooking they get sucked to the top against the heating element where they promptly start to burn.
I’m going to be doing some later to go with a curry I’m making (old school in the slow cooker) and I think I’m going to have to find something to weigh them down with.
