Anywhere that sells Sujika Halwa would go straight on my list of must visit places. Where is this?

I struggle to find anywhere that sells Pav Bhaji (have to cook it at home) let alone Halwa.

Details please!

Suji halwa always hits the spot

I’m in Leeds so fairly fortunate to have easy access to some decent places across Leeds and Bradford. That particular breakfast was from Mughals on Leeds Road in Bradford. Somehow ended up having breakfast from there two days in a row.

Has anyone had anything from that German Donor Kebab (GDK) chain?.

That guy from the takeaway reviews had one and it looked ridiculously full for something from a chain surely that ain't a normal portion size?l]
Not from the offically named chain but one place near me changed its name to include GDK,and I had a very big portion from them

I got 'homemade' donner the other week. As you say, nice. But it's not dirty, so made me think what is the point. If I want clean, why not get grilled meat instead.

I don't see the point of healthy donner, UK culture is that donner is fullnof crap and treat food. Same with shwarma, never appealed to me personally, over shish and kofte.

Unless I'm missing something?

tastes better? I like both, but the good stuff is still much better than the cheap dirty stuff. and the good stuff is still (mostly) cheaper than eating a kofte or a shish...it's also much quicker to cook, plate, and have you eat. kebab/grill restaurant near my workplace does nice doner and nice other stuff. But I'm not going to wait around 15minutes for them to cook it to order. Also sometimes the portion size for doner can be much different to the koftes/shish.

if i'm starving i'll lean towards a doner, but if not i might get something a little lighter feeling like a shish

German doner is hardly “clean”. The U.K. chain doesn’t really represent it well. A proper Berlin doner is awesome proper mix of beef and veal. The GDK version is very average and notable that they don’t exist in Germany

They are quite decent with their portions from my experience but not quite like that. Student that lives next door was working all the way through lockdown one last year and brought loads back each shift. Got to sample a fair bit over the summer and liked it, they do a decent protein box of meat and veg.

I get that some people don't "see the point" of a healthy option for a kebab and such but on a high street filled with rubbish it is often quite nice to have a reasonably decent option instead of going for the true junk.

Doner, chicken doner, chicken and lamb shish, kofte, wings and lamb ribs..

Separate sauces, salad and breads... it hit the spot!

Last weeks mixed doner wrap, feat, remote for scale

You should call them and tell them that a proper Kapsalon Kebab (hairdressers kebab) is layers of chips, doner, sauce and gauda cheese to make a kind of doner lasagna but with chips. They wouldn’t recognise that photo in the Netherlands

I love cheese, I love kebabs. I think that cheese goes well with almost anything... but one of the things I think is odd to have it on is kebab.
