Not proud after replying to Eski on the Breakfast thread re not being a greedy fat bar steward ..
Last hurrah up North - today’s Lunch was Fish, chips, curry sauce, bap, can of dandelion & burdock + can of shandy - eaten in the air conditioning in the truck.
Then after the 210 mile schlep back down south to home - invite for a few beers after taking 2 hrs to do the last 30 odd miles …. Late dinner/supper a6fter beers.
So hanging my head in shame - repentant.

KFC do only produce one thing- chicken- so you'd think they'd be better at cooking it than McD. The stuff outside of their core chicken remit is generally awful. Case in point, KFC chips.
disagree, the new kfc chips are the best out of mcdonalds/bk/kfc imo by farambuletz said:
I liked KFC's chips before they went down the route of changing/'improving' on them every so often. Sometimes the chips had a little soggy/limpness to them that i prefer.
I find it odd that they've changed them so much, yet McDs and BK have never changed them once, ever.
BK have definitely changed their chips, they did it back when I worked for them. When I started, they had a lovely coating on, I'm not sure what it was but they were pretty amazing.I find it odd that they've changed them so much, yet McDs and BK have never changed them once, ever.
The change made them relatively bland for me, I will admit I've not had BK chips in quite a while though.
Bring back the old ones!

A king mixed 'bab from a few weeks back. The chicken and lamb was poor, too rubbery, and far too much onion. The elephants leg was the best part of it.

This was the best of the trio, a south indian garlic chilli pizza. The heat level was superb

Been to a beer festival today, and following an hour and a half on the train back I was bloody rav!
Staggered home from the station via the local maccy's. Something called a McSpicy (surprising amount of heat, although not much in terms of actual flavour), 20 nuggets, fries and a chocolate shake... Should soak up a few pints' worth of craft beer.
