Just search on the local authority website for 1 star kebab houses, they will be dirty, literally.

Still cleaner than most people’s domestic kitchen.

I find Dominos average to good and compared with some indy places it's piss poor. I found a lovely pizza place on my way home from work, I didn't think they were open as the shutter was always down but they do collections out the side door, you aren't allowed inside (because Covid). Which is just bizarre since they have a licensed restaurant on the other side of town you can sit in and stuff your face for hours.

Anyway ordered on Just Eat on Saturday night - 12' pizza , garlic mozzarella bread slices and a big chip all for £12.59, lovely Naples style pizza, chips taste like home made.

Dominos even with a deal is well over £20

The best place my town for pizza is a place called Little Italy, 12' and a side works out just over £8 and the sauce has black pepper and oregano, literally the best pizza I've tasted.

12 foot of pizza and a single big chip? I want to know how big this big chip is if they do 12' pizzas.

I'm with you on this, but unfortunately the town I live in doesn't seem to have a decent alternative. Two large pizzas and two garlic breads for just over twenty quid from domino's is quite cheap really. The next closest is just a kebab shop style pizza and it's more money.

I'm out in the sticks so I can either wait 40-50 minutes for a pizza to be delivered from an indie in town or I can drive the 6 minutes to the Dominos in the next village and collect it smile Because we're in different counties, the Dominos computer says no for delivery biggrin

Do you mean to say that you couldn't find a single dirty takeaway among the almost 9,000 establishments?

Far be it for me to question your methods, but I don't think you're trying very hard...

If you go onto just eat or Uber eats etc when you type in king kebab it comes up with 0 offerings. Not to say I couldn’t find food just not the thing I wanted!

That is nonsensical, as you are paying for something. In my local area there is one 1 star, the rest are 4-5 star, why would anyone choose the 1 star is beyond me.

Totally agree but if you look at the criteria for 0-5 stars most peoples domestic kitchens, if they were assessed using the same process, would get zero or one star.

Interesting point. Does that relate to 'facilities' (fire protection, utilities for staff etc) or genuine simple cleanliness?

I am a fairly keen home cook and I reckon my kitchen is pretty clean, although I guess it's far from surgical levels of hygiene and I do tolerate the field mice outside the door in my garden!

Both and also stuff like food management. Most people don’t have their fridges stacked properly and don’t have things labelled effectively in the fridge with dates on them and stuff like that. They also don’t have a programme of deep cleans for things like fridges and ovens and all that. Cross contamination would probably be an issue too and lots more. My point is that a restaurant that gets one star is not necessarily dirty, grimy and covered in mouse droppings etc which is what people expect. It is just as likely to be the fact that they handle food much like you would at home

I think they’re telling you porkies, there’s a Dominos’s in Sandhurst that delivers to Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey biggrin
